Just how good will Khan's unbeaten record be?

He's a big punchers, but there is too much of a gap between option b and c.

I go 14 KO's.

I'm going with 16 KO's.

but in reality it will be as long as uncle franky can fleece the punters without them getting wise to it (ala Hatton).

so perhaps the question should really be... how long will khan continue to fight nobodies for a meaningless title before he or franky gets rumbled

I don`t think he could get away with the shit he`s been selling for the last few years.

Sky are more into the great fights being made in the USA, and these fights are only being made because the Yanks had to put up with crap for so long untill they caught on, the same is beginning to happened in this country now.

Sky, BBC and ITV now know they hold the upper hand and will demand proper fights, this is only good for the game.

ITV show a shit amateur fight but succeed in hyping so much more, I bet the majority of their viewers did not know who Hatton was untill he was introduced, they probably didn`t recognise Calzaghe either but they gave a little hype to a meeting with Froch to whet the appetite.

Franky will be on his knees with his mouth open to get his stable back on mainstream again, and who can blame him

Cant really predict how many KOs he's going to have in 20 fights til you know what kind of opposition he is fed.

I'm sure we'll see Khan being protected. But if he really wants to beat Naseem's record, he will have to cut the padded shit out and go straight for the jugular. Tough, you might think, if he's only 18, but if he wants to be a world champ (no WBU thanks) he has to be up for it. My great unsupported indicator of boxers destined to go far is if when they start boxing their opponents have won more than they've lost.

btw, did anyone here Alledgedly last night moaning about how boxing titles have becpme proliferated? Eh, yeah, if only all promoters stood up to the alphabet boys like you Frank

I'll stick my neck out and say that Khan will develop a Haye-like KO streak against slightly lesser opposition.

If they bring him along as slow as kevin mitchell I'll be fornicating livid.

Yes and no. Plus he just won the gold medal back, in a rematch in Bolton on Sat night.

It obviously depends on the opposition - which given Mr Warrens record is likely to be anneric garbage men for the first 15fights followed by shot British/Euro level featherweights while campaigning at lightweight. Broadie and McColough should be getting a paydays then

So given he'll be fighting small past their prime fighters his KO ratio should be pretty high - he doesn't need devestating power to KO much smaller opponents

It will teach him bad habits like Hamed and Hatton learned though.

This guy is very talented and very young. Please do not overhype him here like a lot of people did it with Audley Harrison. I hope he won´t be a freak show like Hamed. this is the reason why i would never compare Khan with this freak. Khan should go his way but, please Mr. Warren, don´t let him fight for your favourite WBU-titles!

Hopefully he is going to turn pro as a lightweight which is one of the deepest domestic divisions at the moment and i'm sure everyone will want a shot at him.
If he really is something special then after 10-12 learning fights, surely he will be ready for the likes of Hunt, Murray, Philips, Thaxton etc. Well if he is going to win a belt by 21 then he should really be looking at these guys sooner rather than later. Be interesting to see how much faith Mr Warren really has in him.
