I missed both of these myself, were they televised? Anybody know how he performed in these fights? He won a points decision over six rounds against Frederic Bonifai (27-21-3 - previously TKO5 by Brodie and TKO4 by Rutherford) and more recently a points decision over eight rounds against Karim Chakim (4-3-0). Is the kid taking another step backwards by fighting Chakim or did they just want an extra easy fight for his first eight rounder? And what happened his power that they were all talking about? He hasn't stopped any of his last three opponents. I see he is scheduled to fight on the Brodie-Harrison undercard on June 3rd against a currently unnamed opponent.

yeah he has become a lot more thoughtful in his punch picking and for me is displaying a maturity beyond his years now, after a somewhat, shall we say, controversial start to his career.

looks more controlled and was never in danger in either of these fights.
more or less shut outs i recall.


one thing I will say is that he may suffer with bad hands, in both these fights he seems to ease up and coast in the latter part of the fight, when I spoke to him ringside at the Minter Symonds fight his right hand was pretty busted up.

this would explain why he seems to take his foot off the gas a bit.


lad is only 19 reckon he is doing alright by me. Time will tell how far he can go but I like the way he is shaping up. Hope this helps.

Thanks for that J. I'm looking forward to seeing how Kevin develops as a fighter. I wonder why he had that four month break between December and April and then fought twice in April. I know he is still very young, hopefully Amir can have a rival for becoming the youngest British champion!

i like him and despite his former dodgy rep he is a nice chap whenver i have spoken to him.

always got time to say allo and have a chat, he is only 19, if i was a pro boxer and being touted as the next big thing i'd have anice car and be shagging birds as well.

seems to have matured a little more of late mate.

i genuinely like the lad to be honest.
