i thought i would update you accordingly to the well being of Greg, he is out of hosptal and back in his loyal and caring wife's Patricia's care.

things are still very tough though apparently and can i ask you to spare a moment's thought for this great champ and his loved ones.

if anyone needs more info please pm me, but there isnt much more to tell.

thanks guys and good luck to Greg, lets hope his luck changes a little and he can enjoy a bit better health. Personally I find Greg and Patricia's up beat attitude and time for the fans a true inspriration if theres any justuice in the world they should have an easier time.

i wish them all them all the best.

two wonderful people no doubt. :TU:

Good stuff J.

Hope it goes well and please keep us informed. Are you going to ask Greg about his Amateur career as well? Such as his fights with Tony Tubbs and I think, Marvis Frazier (not sure about that one).

Also I believe he sperred with Ali in his youth, I seem to recall reading.

DOH!!!!! forgot tp put my questions up.

IF I met Mr Page some of the questions I would ask.

(1) What are his memories of his amateur fights (7?) against Tony Tubbs.
(2) As an amateur was he ever in line to face Teofilio Stevenson? If so when and how would he have tackled the big Cuban?
(3) Did he ever spar with Muhammad Ali? If so what are his recollections?
(4) Who was the best fighter he fought as a professional?
(5) Has your accident changed your views on Boxing?
(6) Did you enjoy your amateur or professional career more?
(7) Did you enjoy your visit to England in 1986 to fight Funso Banjo?
(8.) As a fighter what do you consider are your strengths?
(9) If you were in an opponents corner how would you tell them to beat a peak Grag Page?
(10) When your health allows you how do you like to spend your time? Favourite music, films etc etc.
(11) If you had got a shot at Larry Holmes what would have been your gameplan? And why do you think that fight never happened?

Sorry there a bit rushed J, I clean forgot to think about them.

Give Greg my best wishes. :TU:

You should try and get this in a mag J....might have to shorten it a bit, but it's a good piece.

I enjoyed reading that. With a bit of trimming, it's the sort of piece which would sit nicely in the double Xmas issue of Boxing News.

What's this incident about Tupac getting killed at a Tyson fight? (Showing my ignorance here but wasn't Tupac a rapper or something)
