Just wondering what some of you guys thought about the career of Eric Boon! He is one my all-time favorite British fighters. I guess to put his career in comparison with someone of today, I'd say Arturo Gatti, only better.

In short Eric Boon was EXCELLENT and one of the British All-Time greats!
There really should be a British Boxing Hall of Fame to commemorate these fighters, No One takes on their case's for the International Boxing Hall of Fame and unless we revere these fighters on the home front No One EVER will!

I agree jim...there are so many great fighters from not only Europe, but the rest of the world as well that consistenly get ignored by the IBHOF. As to Boon, he had so many come from behind knockouts that it actually makes Gatti seem marginal. Not that Boon was always coming from behind because that wasn't the case. Had the war not came when it did I really think that Boon would have become world champion. Is he still the youngest fighter to ever win a British title? His brawl with Arthur Danahar is considered by many to be one of the greatest fights ever. I know that it was filmed, but I have never seen it, although I would very much like to watch it.
