It was my birthday yesterday and my girlfriend, gawd bless her, got me a ticket off Ebay. I didn't know she even knew who Ricky was.
I can't find the thread with the people who said they were hooking up with Bubi by searching.
So who are ya?
Also i've never been in the M.E.N or watched boxing in such a big venue. I've got a seat up in the nosebleeds (block 205), not that i'm complaning but can you actually see anything in going on in the ring without binoculars?
Reckon i'll come up on Friday evening and watch Brodie & Harrison maybe at the Sports Cafe.
Let me know if anyone fancies meeting up?
Now please excuse me while a dance another jig.

I'm not
I've seen Hatton at the MEN once I was sat pretty close but the views from the top aren't too bad from what I remember. Don't take bino's, you'll be sat with all the rough b*stards who'll rob 'em off you anyway!!

J, Me and two friends from J will dive on Sat from London to Manchester. It´s my first time at the MEN Arena so you should PM J for a meeting point there. the fight will be very long and there will be a lot of braks.
IMO REAL_DEAL is also there and maybe jamesmcdonnell.

The fight might not be that long my friend, I wouldn't be leaving my seat to go anywhere if I were you!

Unfortunately/Fortunately - I will be in NYC then.
Unfortunate, because I will miss the chance to see it live
Fortunate, because the Husband of my closest NY chum used to run boxing for showtime ( even has his caricature on the wall of The Palm restaurant sitting with Cedric Kushner and Don King ) has invited me round to watch it with him and some boxing buddies on his enormo plasma TV while we grill equally enormo steaks and drink plenty of good vino collapso
every so often, just once in a while, life stops kicking you in the ass

Yeh I feel a bit sick about it myself!....

:( 8) .
Seriously though who here thinks Hatton can win and how?. I've heard him saying that he will need to be more cagey and less gung-ho and it seems he may be banking on wearing Kostya down... I actually think this is a mistake and that Hattons best chance is to start very fast and try and hurt Kostya early and take him out. I think the longer the fight goes the better for Tsyu.... he'll pace himself well and break Hatton up as the fight goes on. Cuts could come into it too.
Just me opinion!

yeah i do. Hatton UD shock horror tho hey.
reasonS i can find to be optimistic
1. inactivity, bloke has had 2.5 rounds in 2.5 years. Ringrust against a hatton in front of a home crowd is not something you want.
2. Michell was dreadful and imo overated massivley, Hatton would have taken him apart, I saw him struggle against mike stewart from ringside, trust me Mitchell was never a great force in the first place. old , shot and shitting himself he was NO test for Kostya.
3. The fact hatton hasnt taken on a top five fighter may also mean we dont know how good he is. He may surprise everyone.
4. styles, Hattons style may cause Zoo some problems the only time he lost agianst Phillips he got outworked, and this is hattons forte
5. All through boxing history we have seen fights like this ending up in upset, the young untested prospect against the supposed invincible but ageing champ.
It happens time and again that the young lad prevails.
Ask Barry Mcguigan (v Pedroza), or Lloyd Honeygun V Don curry for example.

I'm certainly not saying Hatton hasn't a chance but I think the longer the fight goes the more dangerous Tysu will be. He certainly didn't look rusty in his recent fights and remember also Hatton is coming off his longest period of inactivity.... may well not count but you never know.
Kostya has the power to end it with one punch imo and the longer the fight goes the more likely this could happen.
If I was in Rickys corner I'd having him start very fast and try and get Kostya out of there.
If its close and goes to points then Ricky would be favoured at home but I don't think the Tysu camp will be aiming for points, he'll be going for a ko or stoppage imo...

Ok cool.
I'll pm my mobile number to J at some point.
I'm not much of a drinker but if i'm going to be cooped up with thousand upon thousands of Burberry'd up Manc city Northern monkeys i'll be looking to fortify myself beforehand. So it would be good to meet up.
Can't wait.
