Anyone know any more about the undercard at the M.E.N. on June 4th? Looks pretty uninspiring so far, Steve Foster is out and the Danny Williams fight must be iffy with the Skelton match in July. Seems to be the modern trend on both sides of the pond now not to put much else on a PPV card except the main event. I'll still buy it of course but I'm sure Uncle Frank could rustle up some decent supporting contests.

Why did Foster pull out?

Not sure, BoxRec lists him as injured.

Yeah it seems the norm to put on a shit undercard these days, only Don King gives decent value for money. Hatton-Tszyu alone shouldn't be enough, for the ticket prices there should be some good quality fights on offer not TBA fall over jobs.

They seem to have good quality bills in Germany as well,

Exactly, i often look at German bills and some US bills and think yeah good solid card and with 3 or 4 fights of interest, even if they are not the greatest fights they are enough to say "Yeah thats a good fight". Mismatches are dire man, i am sick of them.

A little bit harsh on this side of the pond, there have been some good domestic matches on most of the Sky based PPV's.

Its only the Sanders vs Klitchsko PPV that didn't have either a solid undercard or a UK leg. However, it doesn't look good that there is only 3 hours between the PPV kickoff and the main event.

Too bad about Foster, I figured they'd probably show his fight on Showtime here in the US since he's fought on that network a couple of times before.

does anybody know how many tickets have been sold for that harrison v brodie fight ??? i can't belive it's on the night before that hatton fight...

Sorry but I don't agree with that. When Sky used to give us a PPV there was a mammoth UK leg featuring all manner of good stuff, and not just domestic scraps, plus the US support was a lot better too. That's all dwindled away in the past 5 years. I'll give you an example, when Sky brought us Lennox Lewis v Shannon Briggs in 1998 the card you got was:

Hull:
Imamu Mayfield v Terry Dunstan (IBF cruiser)
Paul Ingle v Trust Ndlovu (Commonwealth feather)
Tim Austin v Paul Lloyd (IBF bantam)
Clinton Woods v David Starie (Commonwealth super-middle)
Plus the card had Justin Juuko, Howard Eastman, Pat Mullings and Luan Krasniqi

Atlantic City:
Lennox Lewis v Shannon Briggs (WBC heavy)
Charles Brewer v Herol Graham (IBF super-middle)
Plus the card had Chris Byrd, Henry Wharton, Montell Griffin and Vernon Forrest

Now tell me when did we last see anything like that for our £15?
