Let´s have a little boxrec meeting in London next Thursday! I´ll be in your wonderful city next week. It would be a pleasure to meet all you Ottke-haters for some beers together with J. The first beer goes on my bill! The location and time will be posted in this thread!!!!!

I'd definitely be up for meeting but I've got a couple of exams on Tuesday and Wednesday the 7th and 8th. Already going to Manchester for the fight so can't really take any more time off!

However, I haven't met a single boxing fan since moving to London almost a year ago so would definitely be well up for catching up with some people from here for a beer sometime.

Yes, mate. Seperated from my wife. Living with my brother at his place. Although I may be buying a place Pinner of all places.

I've walked past The Ring pub a few times (Southwark, right outside Waterloo stn). I think most of the clientele are just local workers but could be an idea.

good chap! Kev will meet us for food in manchester Bubi as he is already up there for the brodie fight so cant make thurs.

im open to suggestions as to venue for thurs night tho the ring is a decent siuggestion any idea of the road Shirow so i can put a link up for directions.

If you come out of Southwark tube station you'll see it as soon as you come out on the opposite corner.

location looks nice

dunno id describe southwark as nice but looks a good enough pub with a boxing theme and is central enough to meet!!!

if you give it some thought to those links i sent you mate, i can meet you in waterloo to head over to southwark post work.

waterloo has the wheel aquarium and all that jazz there so you could spend your arvo down there then we can hook up and go for beers etc.

Been in there once, it's alright, plenty of old photos all over the walls. Don't expect anyone in there to know naf all about boxing though besides us!

Gutted I am going to miss this one.

I'm off to Peterborough to watch and report on a dinner show.

If you get chance, Baltic next door to The Ring has a HUGE selection of vodkas

Also, The Anchor & Hope across the road is pretty good for food although the queues can be long
