It´s either Valuev or an eliminator with Valuev. Frankieboy had a nice drean these days.....Valuev-Williams would be nice, too.

Needs to be someone who can stay in the fight for a few rounds. I doubt very much Valuev would have the stamina for a long hard fight. He's had long fights but they've been one sided. In a tough fight I think he'd run out of gas in the second half of the fight.

Neither Williams or Skelton have really shown me they could beat either Ruiz or Valuev. For me this fight is a good domestic scrap to look forward to but not much more than that really, neither guy is likely to develop into a serious world title contender at this stage. Maybe the winner could have a legitimate crack at the EBU title once Hoffman and Sprott have sorted that one out, but should Sprott win I can't see people queuing to see Williams v Sprott III or Skelton v Sprott II.

plus he aint scared of anyone.

As you say I don't think Skelton would be intimidated one bit

dont think matt woudl be intimidated if you rolled him in chicken blood and left him in a lions enclosure.

blokes just doesnt understand fear.

shame he hasnt got better boxing skills really he has everthing else, desire, work rate, chin, hunger, instinct.

would have loved to have seen what he would have done if he had been ten years younger when he tirned pro in time to learn a more refined style.

you may question his skills but the rest is there.
bit unfortunate really cos skills are pretty important.

The WBA has not yet decided if Valuev has to fight an Eliminator first. Regarding the new ranking it could be interesting:

1. Valuev
2. Rahman
3. Barett
4. Colonel Sanders
5. Brock

Rahman and Barret are fighting for the WBC Interim title. So it would be the Colonel to fight Valueb in an Eliminator. And he ie IMO one of the handfull guys who could beat Valuev, provided he is fit. Bring on the Colonel and he will be the first guy for a hard chin test at least....

Regarding some rumours UBP, where he is still under contract, has sent a fitness coach to South Africa.....

Maybe he could re-motivate and comes back in the same shape as in the Wladi-fight. I woulod like to watch how Nicolai reacts on the bombs of the Colonel.

he boxed at the end of the last year on a spotlight/UBP-event but i also doubt it. i just wonder why he is ranked so good.

Maybe Sanders is one of the most underachieved Boxers of all times........

Id love to see what happens when Valuev is hit clean on the jaw by a bomb.. Think the ropes could hold him up if he stumbled/fell onto them?

Or even better if it had no effect on him at all

From what I've seen he does get hit on the chin plenty, elusive he ain't. So far with no effect from the assorted collection he has beaten, obviously against a really big puncher we'd have to see. Unfortunately for John Ruiz he ain't no big puncher so I think we'll see him avoid Valuev for as long as possible.
