Former WBO bantamweight champion Cruz Carbajal tested positive for steroids after his loss to Silence Mabuza on May 13 in Las Vegas. He has been suspended indefinitely.

I am a bit gutted about this one, I have (or should that be had) a big respect for Cruz. Its another case where you think "mmmm thats odd". All those defences of his WBO title, that rapid gain from journeyman to world class - all through that period he was clear. Now he's lost two major fights in a row and he tests positive.

Not a great advert for the use of steriods.

And he has now shamed the good name of the WBO as well.

Makes you wonder how much steroids are being used in boxing. A Small minority or the majority?
