Is anybody actually going to pay to watch a man who is 16 years past his best & now almost completely shot, up against a man who can't take a punch, is slower than an arthritic snail & couldn't knock out a fly with his best punches???

I think that in terms of Championship boxing Mike Tyson has been shot for years (though im aware Tyson v McBride is no Championship fight). Tyson cannot fight more than three or four rounds any longer. Tyson punches like mad for a couple of rounds and then appears to look very old, very quickly.

People like McBride havent got the quality, chin or intelligence to cover up or move around for a few rounds to let Tyson punch himself out. In fights against the likes of McBride, Tyson will always look as if he has a future in the heavyweight division. But just remember the Lewis fight, Tyson moved and looked decent for two rounds, then after that Tyson literally plodded around the ring getting smashed up, same with Williams and same with the first Holyfield fight.

Tyson is a four round fighter at best. Though admittedly a very dangerous one.

Probably won't buy it, but I would have if it was only a fiver or something. Sharmba Mitchell is on the undercard apparently against TBA

Yes, many Tyson fans would pay to watch the ghost of their shot hero fight anyone.

Im a sucker and Im getting it as well. If its £15, thats a cheap night saturday night For if I went out for the night, I'd spend a heck of a lot more.

Knowing its on the TV, I'd have to watch it and Im sure if it was not on at all, we'd wish it was.

I wouldnt know man I am from Galway Its just 15 euros which is nothing. I am just gonna get a few mates and a few beers watch a re-run of the Hatton fight and then onto Tyson.

Yes 15 Euro is nothing mate, Im sure it will be in and around £10 or so for us. I'm in Belfast. Certainly beats big brother, what a pile of rubbish that is

Few beers with some mates and some build up fights through the night sounds a good plan indeed! Im sure some bar in Clones would have it on, but I guess they'd be lock in's after hours and you'd need to be a local to know about it.

I hear Galway has some great pubs, I've wanted to go for a while now. Bit of a drive, maybe some long weekend I'll get down for a pub crawl there

Your right in Tyson being shot, I've not wool over my eyes when it comes to that. For the sake of a few quid and a few mates around for a nights drinking it will add some entertainment if anything to it all.

I know Tyson is a major shadow of himself, but you can't help but think if he was with King or got a shot at "Kings World title belts", he'd maybe have held one of them after the Lewis fight. For when you look at the crop holding some of the belts at the moment as in Ruiz (again) and Brewster, even a shot Tyson would have a chance or a few chances with them. Golota done the rounds with Kings titles before being stream rolled by Brewster and apart from Vitali who is the champion in my eyes, and Byrds style. It's not impossible in todays mix.

In truth, he may get a run with some bums and then come a croper again, its amazing, with his name he still sells and there will be more people buying this I reckon that we think.

I have brought every PPV going since i had SKY in 3 years ago including all the Setanta ones but there's not a chance in hell i am shelling out for this shit...£15 for a man who past his prime ten years ago against a human punchbag my postman could spark out...NO WAY

Don't forget the wonder of listening to several hours of masterful insight from that dickwad Bob Sheridan when you get a Setanta PPV. Well worth the 15 notes in itself.

Bob Sheridan annoyed the arse off me once when he gatecrashed an Australian PPV event to co-commentate on Shannon Taylor-Paulo Sanchez. He made Taylor sound like the second coming of Sugar Ray Robinson the way he was kissing arse.

Im no way under a delusion of the fighter Tyson is today, hes not even 1/10 of the fighter he was. Between the period of the Lewis fight and today, with the weak champions of "Kings Heavyweight belts", with in the opening few rounds of Tyson being dangerous his power could of earned him a belt. I'm not saying Tyson will become Heavyweight Champion again, what Im saying is if he was a part of Kings recycled mix he may have held an abc belt again, but that does not mean your the best in the world. John Ruiz is a perfect example of that.

If Danny Williams can do a job on Tyson...well I think that speaks for itself.

Thats true about Williams, but I do wonder could he do it again against Tyson and how much of that knee injury played a part. I think it was Williams finest hour and Kiltschko welcomed him to the big league.

If Tyson had of got a shot against the likes of Ruiz between the Lewis fight on June 2002 and now, thats what I mean. Its his one punch power against these guys more so than the ring craft.

You can't tell me if Tyson landed flush on Ruiz, he's walk through it for sure. That is what could have got him a strap.

In reality, Tyson may do some circus like tour of the McBrides of this world and earn a lot of dollars. He's nearly 40 years old, but the last thing he'll lose is that power and thats what will get people watching him.

Its a pretty sad story as well, one of the greatest fearsome champions boxing past his hayday and every bum around him wants to earn their hour of fame, if he keeps going on long enough, there'll be another Danny Williams out there or less to take his scalp.

Was Mc Bride actually in the Olympics?

I get what you saying, theres not much more I can say on what I have already, or I may really start talking crap valid points and I surpose a lot of it is "What If's".

One thing I do respect is Tysons power still. The fitness and desire will never be the same for him. I'm sure we'll see one more KO from him anyway as I can't see McBride taking his shot.

I hope some new exciting heavyweight breaks through. Hopefully he's training away now in some sweat box ready to be let out!
