I'm really surprised to see Danny Williams is still on the Hatton v Tszyu undercard next weekend with a make or break fight with Matt Skelton scheduled for just over a month later. Williams is now scheduled to be fighting one Zoltan Petranyi, a 38 year old Hungarian who got KO'ed in the first by Richel Hersisia of Audley Harrison opponent fame. He also lost by KO to such heavyweight luminaries as Benelux legends Dirk Wallyn and Fred Westgeest so he doesn't seem to pose much of a threat to big Danny, but I really can't see the logic of risking cuts, injuries or other calamities at this stage for the sake of a facile, quick victory.

Strange decision!

He looked awful against Klitschko, maybe he needs a confidence boost before Skelton.

still a big risk though, is it on ITV or Sky?

Wow that guy is pitifully bad...how come Packheiser is out? I don't think that fight is ever going to happen is it?

What a terrible undercard Hatton Tszyu has. For the biggest fight in so many years in British Boxing, I thought there would be a nice co-event. Well we did get it, but we're expected to shell out on the Friday night to see it. Never the less, Im sure the MEN atmosphere will be something else on the night!

Calzaghe Vs Jeff Lacy would have been nice!!

I think essentually this fight is supposed to be a break in training some figthters find it easyer to do two banks of 6 weeks than do 12 weeks solid training.

In terms of the undercard I want to know why scott Harrison and Micheal Brody aren't on that undercard when they are fighting in the same city in the same arena the day befor, other than the obviouse answer that Warren dose not want a good show but a quick buck.

True, plus I think he had it on standby incase the Hatton fight fell through.

I agree that the Hatton vs Tszyu undercard could have been a bit better, but I'm just glad the main event is finally happening.

The fight has often been compared to McGuigan vs Pedroza whose under card featured the likes of Dave McAuley, Simon Eubanks, Harry Cowap, Dave Haggerty and Danny Lee.

Was that undercard any better? Not really in my opinion.

Because Hatton v Tszyu was already sold out before Harrison v Brodie was made so he didn't need to put it on there. The undercard is piss poor.

Really dont see the point of the Williams fight, looks like a guaranteed KO1. Easy money for Williams though I suppose but surely someone who could go 5 or 6 rounds would have been a better option. He'd get more benefit sparring.

I think the Williams fight is all about rebuilding confidence, and a bit of pocket money.

How many times has the Packheiser fight been scheduled now? Is it the german who cancels it every time?

Williams pulled out at a days notice witn no decent excuse once as I recall so not all one sided.

But he will fight Adamek for the WBC-crown next.....He shall fight on the Krasniqi-Brewster Undercard on Max Schmelings birthday, September 28th.

No, which is a shame. Because we've probably missed out on one of the greates Heavyweight triologies of all time. :(
