So what next for Hatton?

Moving on with indecent haste, where does Hatton go from here? The guy has to be in an entirely differently league now when it comes to his matchmaking.

I know this thread exists several times on the "Current scene", but I'd like some more enlighted views.

5th post now with the same question so i will put the same answer.

THe fight the Hatton camp want is Diego Corrales to step up the 5 pounds.

I think that would be a great fight & one FW is now going in to talks about

Corrales would be a very winnable fight for Hatton it's true. Can't see the major benefit to Diego though other than a big payday. Personally I'd like to see some of the other Top 10 140lb guys straightened out first.

Chopping Right, is there a Phoenix camp for forum posters? You have a Hatton-esque workrate it would appear. Me has been matching it in the past few hours, yet... blow... puff... the pace is kicking in...

:D LOL.

Yeah, I like to work the forums hard in solid hour-long bursts of non-stop posting. Now to slip a few rib-crunchers in..

Corrales would be quite an easy fight for Hatton IMO, he's just too big for Corrales.

Then you have all the HBO & Showtime nonsense and then Hatton is left with very few big named opponents

Isn't there some bloke called Floyd Mayweather?

Now, I would really love to see Hatton vs Witter, now is the time. Unfortunately, it isn't going to happen for a bit.

Mayweahter would most likely box circles around Hatton -

Though I give Hatton all the credit in the World. He brought it last night!

And Zoo showed me he doesn't have a true champion's heart. He quit because he didn't think he could win a Dec - Not because he was that hurt!

Hatton beats Corrales (TKO middle to late rounds).

Hatton KO's Gatti easily as well -

A lot of people seem to be mentioing Judah but as far as i can see he is now a fully fledged Welterweight and more or less sitting pretty on top of the division as well. So i doubt he will be moving down anytime soon or Hatton moving up so i don't really see that fight happening.

But didn't Judah get chump change for beating Cory Spinks? How might he feel about losing a few pounds for a big fat cheque signed by F.Warren? Plus he's with Showtime as well I believe?

I would like to see Hatton - witter at the MEN next just to clear things up then onto the US for fights with either Harris, Corrales or the Gatti/Mayweather winner :TU:

He should fight Vivian Harris next.

Or if he needs to go the easy route, why not a fight against Colin Lynnes? He could pick up the IBO belt, which is much more legitimate than the WBU title.

Speaking of which, any news on what Hatton plans do do with his WBU title?

Maybe Nigel Wright could get a shot at it if Hatton has vacated?

Judah's a free agent as far as TV goes having appeared on both Showtime & HBO major cards recently.

Gatti, Mayweather & Cotto are all HBO fighters so it makes sense they'd look to one of the biggest name showtime fighters in Corrales. Terrible fight though, Hatton is a BIG jr Welter and Deigo has come up from super feather. Chico would get a hole punched in him.

For me the best bet would be Harris or Witter. Despite whether Witter desrves it or not, it would be a big draw and just awesome to see an all english world title fight. The heat would be unbelievable.

Corales is too small , Harriss or Cotto will be competetive, Mayweather i'm not sure how he would handle Hattons pressure and Zab well he would be the hardest one out there and i don'nt think Warren would want it

Look for the rematch in Moscow. Zoo is making no excuses he is home and states he was beaten by a hungrier fighter, He said a while ago 2 more fights that was it, personally i think he'll want to go out a winner

agreed, a natural fight, unification, easy to make, no clashing tv networks, everyone would be happy. plus it would probably be a very good fight.

Your full of confidence sure, but when the dust settles don’t even think your boy can just waltz in like he’s the new king. Every one saw Hatton’s tactics and the depths and style that he will go to win a fight. Now every A grade fighter in the div will now know what kind of 'fight' to expect next time around. Corrales and Gatti easy victories are you so sure? :o

A further point to make is when a fighter says he is he done and his face looks like mash potato, then he is done. Any fighter at any level has the right to call off the fight if they risk serious long term damage. KT has more heart and soul in one straight right than any of you 9 to 5 arm chair alcoholics. When your lost you have lost and he didn’t have go in so British supporters can Masturbate.

Someone from the IBF top 15.

Lovemore NDou or Cesar Bezan?

Surely Hatton has a gimme before tackling another top guy...
