Have to commend his corner work last night, it was exceptional. He's always good but last night he was better than ever I thought.

He has to take a lot of credit (not as much as Hatton obviously), they both obviously masterminded the plan to win and it payed off.

I was pretty choked watching the pair of them hugging and crying in the ring afterwards.

Forgot to mention I thought the corner work was very poor in Tszyu's corner.

I agree, credit where credit is due Billy deserves respect for his training and cornerwork with Hatton.

When Hatton collasped on the floor with tears of joy in his eyes at the end of the fight the thought that went through my mind was,

"To all you Boxing haters who claim the sport is fixed, dirty, barbaric and should be banned, SCREW YOU ALL!!!!! Boxing has many flaws but it is still at it's best the greatest and most beautiful Spport on earth"

Here here, it wasn't just Hatton who raised his game to another level last night.

Yeah, I love it when a fighter drops to their back after a huge win. Johnny Nelson was right with his comments. I remember Hopkins lying for ages by himself in the middle of the ring, with the bizarre sight of the guy he had just stopped wandering around on his feet. Similar also to Roberto Vasquez's huge win recently.

I'd like to see Johnny trialled out as the co-commentator alongside Ian Darke, he often gives a great insight into things. Dull fighter though

Agree whole heartly, always been a fan of Graham's although I would like to see a more variety in his fighters. I think Manchester have the two finest trainers in Hughes and Graham.

Agreed. I think Hughes cornerwork was very good in the Barnes fight. Ok Barnes lost but the advice from Hughes was spot on, its a shame Barnes couldnt follow it till the end

Will his rematch with Vincent still be on?

It probably will be because Barnes only lost his commonwealth belt and his british title defence to Vincent is mandatory

He didn't lose his Commonwealth belt. He was challenging for it.

My mistake. The Vincent clash will still go ahead i thinks anyway

I was wondering the same thing, I am sure Barnes will want a nice slow rehabilitation after this huge setback. Will the BBBoC permit it though.

I think they should have pulled Barnes out to be honest, he was never in the fight after that knockdown.

He's definitely an on top fighter, as soon as someone starts hitting and hurting him he has no idea what to do. The Vincent fight will certainly be interesting.

I don't know about that though Nick. I agree with what you are saying but not sure I would have pulled him out. He is the home town fighter who seems to be blessed with luck, some of the rounds I gave to the Ghanian after the KD were close because he did very little also. I wouldn't have been at all surprised (although disgusted) if Barnes would have had his arms raised had he surived.

Having said that, Edwards stopped the fight pretty early after Barnes got hurt, so it is a clear indication that he was down on his card - but then Hughes was not to know that.

Remember Jimmy Vincent, I thought he was miles behind there and I thought Barnes should have been pulled out - but it turned out good for him in the end.

I thought the ref should have jumped in after the knockdown to be honest, Barnes was in serious bother. He was lucky Okine punched himself out. But he was in a daydream for 3 or 4 rounds after that and it was obvious the fight had slipped away.

Barnes has always reminded me a little of Adrian Dodson in the way that he seems to have all the tools and can look very classy at times but just seems to have that 'certain something' missing.

As McGuigan harshly but accurately pointed out, maybe he just can't "fight".
