I think maybe Junior Witter and Johnny Nelson were more worthy of being in the poll than some of the fighters mentioned (KEVIN MCBRIDE).

The choice has to be something of a no-brainer after this particular weekend.

Although with the inclusion of Amir Khan I suspect you could include "potential" aswell a best British fighter P4P. I know some folk who think Calzaghe vs Johnson is a forgone conclusion and still might have Calzaghe as number 1 based on potential over achievement.

I was a big believer in Calzaghe once, and I still believe he could do big things, but after night-on 8 years as a potential world-beater you have to wonder.

I've always maintained that Hatton was a better fighter than Joe in a P4P sense but I didn't think he would get the same achievements as Joe due to the depth of talent holding the belts in his devision. I saw him beating Harries but that was all.

I would say Junior Witter is right with Hatton in terms of ability also - then I would have Joe.
