Mikkel Kessler just beat Anthony Mundine by scores of 116-112 117-113 (120-108rediculous), It was one of the best fights i have watched for a while with both fighters giving it all. Kessler was just to powerful and i had him winning by 4 rounds.
It makes for some interesting fights at 168 if all the champs are willing to put there belts on the line.

I picked Kessler by decision, good win for him on away soil. What next for Mundine? He was contemplating a return to Rugby last i heard, what's the truth in this? Winner of Lacy-Calzaghe to fight Kessler i think, Calzaghe can't say he isn't a worthy opponent now! Looking forward to watching this fight

i think we all knew Kessler was the better man, but the better man doesnt always win.
Mundine still has a future as i would say Kessler is the top man now... Lacy aint all that special

Henk Meijers score was really bad, he must have spent too much time in the coffeeshops back in The Netherlands. I had it 116-112.

Eager to see this, but just a general point: anyone felt sickened by the super-middleweight scene particularly in the last few years? With all these guys who are obvious contenders to the crown, but never having had a chance to prove themselves since the supposed 'champion' has had no intentions of taking them on. It's almost like the 'champion' at 168lb is really a bogeyman of the division...

114-114 for me, if ever a fight deserved a rematch this is it. Not a robbery I guess...judges just preferred the coming forward Kessler to the stick and move of Mundine. BUt Mundine lots better than against Siaca

As for the future..if Mundine can get a rematch I think he stays with boxing, but if he can't its back to rugby league. He'd always rather be a big fish in a small pond than a medium fish in a big pond...can't see his ego letting him work his gradually to another title shot. Pity really, cos he's still improving as a boxer; people forget he's only been in the game 5 years..

He was great super quick but Kessler was always on the attack. At least they got it on not like other SMW who do nada to fight each other

Good, maybe Kessler can fight the winner of Lacy-Reid (I assume Calzaghe will find a way to avoid the winner).

Fackin unbelievable what level Mundine has achieved when you consider the guy was in his mid 20's when he jumped straight into the pro ranks with no ameteur fights.Good on him personally i think he should forget rugby go live in the states with good sparring ect and in a couple of years kick everyone's arse

Given his past remarks, I'm not so sure he'd be welcome over here.

I agree with the comments on Mundine, he has always been a brash, outspoken guy and not to everyones taste but you cannot doubt he has ability and has fought at a very high level with a fairly short career...fighting Ottke after 10 fights for example and nearly pulling the job off was a good achievement. And the way he dealt with the power and threat of Echols when most thought he would get sparked.
