Well, the one thing he must do is not fight again. I got the PPV and the first thing I noticed was how sluggish he looked. Against Danny Williams, he came out guns blazing for the first couple of rounds, but last night he was so slow. It really is the end of it now for him, and I hope he doesn't come back because of money troubles, which he may well do.

He will make a very good analyst on TV, he is a real student of the game, and has a lot of knowledge to share. Also, as a trainer too. But I don't know what he's like communicating with others in that respect.

His aggressive temprement might hinder him being an on screen personality.

He should try to sell out MSG masturbating.

And I'm sure it would too.

The PPV would be big too.

retirement...he should stop trying to fight, he is not even capable of beating bums like McBride, its just a shame for someone who used to beat his opponents before even entering the ring...now nobody has any respect for Tyson, he just needs money to pay his debts thats sad...

How about as a trainer/advisor on The Contender II.

Now that would make the series sell.

They'd just have to make it about heavyweights.

Which would also sell better anyway.

i don't think Tyson is calm and mentally healthy enough to be a trainer or a manager...Tyson is impulsive and tends to use his guts, fists and insctincts before using his brain, and that always led him to doing stupid things which he regreted afterwards...

The idea of Iron Mike on The Contender is a terrific one. Whatever the viewing figures were The Conteneder, if Tyson was on the show, they would much higher. Tyson should consider doing something like this, as he knows Boxing insider out.

The Contenders would be inspired by him, look up to him etc. The advice he would give them would be beneficial for them.

I would want ot see him try some commentary of fights. Again, his knowledge is so good, and he would therefore provide in-depth analysis. There are commentators out there who know Tyson would be a great addition, but I do not think it will be allowed to happen.

Apparently when Mike was doing community service, he spent quite a bit of time working with disadvantaged children teaching them boxing, and apparently he was really great with them.

Perhaps Tyson could get involved in some sort of youth boxing programme, his talismanic persona could be a great thing for young aspiring boxers.

this is true, but to put that into perspective, he achieved more as a heavyweight than most guys in history, his peak was pretty brief.

Mike, like it or not, is an emblem of boxing, and it would be nice to think that his story could end happily, rather than another Sonny Liston style tale.

I agree Tyson was awesome in his prime. Lets hope in time he will be remembered more for what he achieved in his prime and less on the crap we have seen in the past few years in and out of the ring.

Had Tyson retired after his second title run before Holyfield, and with the single loss to Douglas, I wonder how he would be regarded now.

Read in one of the papers today that Tyson's deal with the IRS (America's version of the beloved inland) was that he was going to repay his debts by fighting 10 times a year. That was going into effect before his fight with Williams.

His fight with McBride, where he got $5m or something, after giving away what was basically a standing order to pay off just interest on his debts he got $250,000 for himself. Makes McBrides fee look respectable now.

Bloody terrible situation for him to be in anyway, whether he made it himself or not. Is there good money to be made in being a missionary? What's the minumum wage in America?

He should get together with a ghost writer and do a 'tell all' it would sell tens of millions, then there's movie rights etc, he'd make a packet.

Then again for all I know Don King own the rights to his life story, it wouldn't surprise me at all.
To me it just seems the obvious thing to do.
