Could a Brit get to McBride first?

Just wondering how ridiculous it is that McBride could be getting a shot at Ruiz on the back of him "finishing" Tyson.

Do you think there could be any chance of a British heavy nipping in before anything is tied up and taking advantage of McBride's now bloated reputation? If Danny didn't have Skelton coming up, he could fight McBride in some sort of "we both annihalated Tyson" fight - assuming Danny would win, then possibility of a crack at Ruiz.

Or what about Audrey? In America already, excellent exposure. An easy fight that would take him towards a title.

How one of these fights could be made would be the hardest part, but if it is, that's surely a gem of an opening, perhaps for Audrey especially?

Let McBride have his pay day in peace. If he can get himself a title shot over being beaten by some Brit few Americans have heard about for a lot less money then I say take the title shot because he will never have a chance for it again.

No,

McBride next purse will be $1m plus, no way he gets that fighting any British fighter.

As ridiculous as Williams getting a title shot on the same basis....?

Absolutely. I'm not saying that McBride doesn't deserve his shot any less than Williams. Just that, hypothetically, it would have been an excellent opportunity for a British heavy to get to McBride before he fights Ruiz. Best of luck to him.

I don't think there are any British heavyweights in a position right now to afford McBride. His team will know that they must cash in now with the biggest payday they can get while he has his commercial value, and I imagine there are less attractive opponents than Kevin to a "name" US fighter - he has a win over Tyson, he has a native fanbase and he's eminently beatable.

mesi v Mcbride seems the logical choice. Mesi has a name and a fanbase, and McBride won't give a flying McFuck whether it is sanctioned by Nevada state, they could theoretically put it together in ireland.
