So now that Antonio Tarver has evened the score with Glen Johnson what do you guys think should be his next move?

Do you think they should go for the rubber match?

Should Tarver try and lure the faded former Champion Roy Jones Jr out of retirment?

How about a fight with our own Clinton Woods?

My pick would be a Tarver vs Hopkins fight. The worlds best Middleweight against the Worlds best Light-Heavyweight.

Any opinions fight fans?

First of all I think he's due a call-out from sicknote.

I kind of invisage a break between fights II and III. Glen perhaps has slightly the more to prove now. Perhaps he'd accept Woods again now. (When's Wood's mandatory meant to be taking place?) And of course giving Jones a final chance would probably be one of the best $$$ options. If he were to come back and beat either imagine the trilogies we'd have then - it would keep the LHW going for 10 years. Having said that tho, I think Jones is probably done now.

Other options would be going after the 'big belt' holders, but I hope the two remain above that. And fights with Tiozza I don't think would make many people dribble.

Roy said he wants to fight the winner of Tarver Jonhson 2. So Tarver needs not lure Roy. Roy was practically calling out here.

A fight agaisnt Roy, which Tarver should win with no problem, will give him the most money.

Other than that, a rubber match with Johnson, or a fight against Tiozzo will be good options.

Hopkins would be a mega fight too, but can we be sure Hopkins is actually going to fight him? Talk is one thing, stepping in the ring and deliver is another. Just look at Roy: he called out the Klits, Lewis, Tyson, Tua, Holyfield, etc. How many of these did he actually fight? Saying you will ko Lewis is not impressive when you are thousands of miles away.

If Bernard Hopkins gets past his next fight I would imagine he`d look to Tarver at something of a catch-weight fight, maybe a little above the super-middle limit.

Tarver hasn`t got that many attractive fights about really, even a Roy Jones 3rd fight wouldn`t attract that much.

Then again there is Jeff Lacy if he looks good against Reid,

Calzaghe I would imagine wouldn`t really be taken that serious with his sick-note habits, but you never really know now Fwank is going for gold

I would like to see Tarver face Tiozzo...

How would Tarver benefit financially from that?

Tarver is 36 years old, look for him to fight Jones, Johnson, and Hopkins(Not in that order) before retiring.

Although would be tempted to swap Hopkins with Toney.

I highly doubt Toney will ever make 200lbs again.

Tarver beats Johnson (which I think he will) and Jones again and the challenges James Toney at heavyweight. Toney I think will be a world champ before the year is out.

I can see Calzaghe coming into the picture if he repells Lacy.

If Calzaghe does that I think he'll believe thats all she wrote for 168 and move up, but only for a title shot at with a lack of named fighters in the division - he could get a crack at either Woods or Gonzales (Woods mandatory).

I thought Tarver would win this fight, i thought he won the last one to be honest, word is he is fighting Jones again next, i don't want to see that though. Jones is as a good as shot in my book, it would be a travesty to see him in with Tarver again.

Agreed Steve, but I think we all have that uneasy realisation that the money Jones STILL brings, despite the KO defeats, will talk.

Tarver and Johnson are not PPV draws in their own right, and neither are Woods, Gonzales, Tiozzo or whoever.....

Jones still rings that revenue.

But yes, he appears shot-to-shit.

Tarver walks around at 210+, I reckon he could fight Toney in a heavyweight matchup, but he will take the payday to retire Jones first, and who can blame him?

Hopkins would be conceding too much weight in my opinion to take on Tarver, I don't think Bernard is going to fancy it much, it's just not in his favour.

Roy is definitely way past his expiry date. But if he keeps calling out Tarver who can blame Tarver for giving him a shot? After all if Jones wants to step in the ring with him, he should fight him. Roy is a grown man that makes his own decision, it is not like somebody pushes him to fight. Let him fight if he wants to. He is a healthy man, not like Holyfield or Mesi. He risks nothing except another loss. In that respect he would be no different than say, Hopkins or Tiozzo if they fight Tarver.

Hopkins might be smart enough to ask for 170lbs. Given that Tarver weighed in at 173.

I think Jones is such a legend that he deserves one last chance at turning back the clock.

Calzaghe's light-heavy career is going to be Clinton Woods then pipe and slippers.


Tarver - Johnson 3 might be interesting, and I'm with Raff in that I'd like to see him in with Tiozzo but don't think it's going to happen.

Mormeck? That's got to be an attractive fight, especially if Mormeck can tempt Jirov to fight for the cruiser belts and give him a spanking.
