This evening I was watching a video of the Ceferino Garcia-Barney Ross title bout of Sept. 23, 1937, and was surprised to learn that it was one of four title bouts on promoter Mike Jacobs' "Carnival of Champions" fight card that evening. (I have added comments to those four bouts just now.) Has such a feat been duplicated or exceeded since? Four title bouts on one card? And not by a card of piddly, alphabet soup title bouts.

The original carnival of champions card was when Corbet fought Sulivan in 1892. Also George Dixon and Jack McCalufe fought in seperate fights. For some reason there is no info on this in boxrec's data base
