Was a shame for Kevin with the fight even going into 6th someone had to give and it was Earl....
I thought the ref was TERRIBLE he gave earl that much time to come back when he was one punch away from being stopped...terrible
Fair play to earl showed god heart to come back but in all fairness Bennett only had to draw the remaining round to win....Couldnt belive it he just packed in again like the Commonwealth title win

Hi Jacko it was great to meet you last night even if it was only a brief chat.

Agreed Earl could have well been stopped he was staggering all over the place, a couple of times I thought Howard was going to jump in.

It was a twelve rounder though mate so no way that Bennett was going to last another three rounds, I had him five rounds up going into the ninth, but he just seemed to tire halfway through the eighth.

I've just watch it again, and I can see Bennett's pace begin to drop as early as the fourth or even third. His pace dropped and he seemed to be more focused on looking for eye catching shots (as my round by round stated).

Earl was winning the 6th fairly big (the most clear cut start to the round up to that point) he was begining to beat Bennett to the punch. Then he walked onto a beaut.

Bennett tried to finish it, but I don't think he had that much left himself - even at that stage. He was the stronger man but was almost allowing Earl to hold. I agree with Jack, I did think the ref did Earl a few favours there. Even stopping to talk to Bennett for Holding and for going in with his head (it was Earl who was holding). However, Bennett's attempt to finish it was ragged and he looked like a tiring fighter even then.

When I saw Earl still looking "gone" in the 7th I thought Bennett would find the punch. Once Earl survived that round, I thought I favoured Earl.
