Just when you thought the corpse of Julius Francis was safely dead & buried, some guys have disturbed his grave & resurrected him to fight Colin Kenna this sunday.

Jules has to take his annual medical test so fight is yet to be confirmed, despite being only days away.

When Jules loses this one his record will go to an impressive 23-22. If he keeps going on this ex-champ will actually have more losses on his record than wins. Thats a sad thought for someone who has been a wildcard on the scene from 95-2002.

Can we not get a Francis fight on boxing predictions Kev? I'd be outrageous and go for a Francis L PTS.

Also meant to say, there are actually relatively few purely British HW fights to be had for the likes of Gammer, who at the moment is in between Will, Skelton, Sprott etc. but 'above' the rest. What about Gammer-v-Llewelyn?

Wayne seems to be a bit fragile these days so Gammer could get a KO there. Shame Llewelyn didn't stick around on the domestic scene a bit longer and fight for the domestic belt, but then he did get routed by Pele Reid that time before Reid got exposed.

Julius is going the same way as Michael Murray did now, a good and competent journeyman. As long as he doesn't get in there with anyone especially dangerous he's only earning a living.

Gammer fairly comfortably probably. In all this, d'you think Gammer will actually get his shot at the British title (against Skelton or Williams) or do you think that, whatever that result, the pair of them might move off to European/diddy world level? Just have that feeling. Also, Williams talks of retiring if he loses; what about Skelton if he does? He's 38. Will he still make Alledgedly money if he loses to Danny.

Might as well throw in John McDermott into the discussion. Is there anything left for him? Another Gammer opponent?

And just to make sure we stick to the relevant point, Andreas Sidon is fighting Dimitrenko on the 2nd. Don't make any plans

Kenna won on points, 39-38. Francis shook his head at the decision although he never did anything to warrant the win. He also looked like a Weeble and came in at 19st 3lbs, 3 stone heavier than Kenna give or take a few pounds.

Colin landed a few decent punches although it's doubtful Francis felt any of the body shots...I swear at one point Kenna's glove dissapeared into Francis' gut

Great atmosphere though and some good perfomances on the undercard from a few decent local fighters which is always good to see.

Please retire Jules - Colin blooming Kenna. He was the start of this run (a draw a few years ago).
