If anyone could post complete results and matchups from this fantasy tournament taken in 1998 i think. u know the one where rock faced dempsey in finals. i wanted to see how martys matchups paired. i know some of the results were a joke like ali losing to jeffries and joe louis losing to jeffries. ALI CALLED JEFFRIES THE SLOWEST AND CLUMSIEST HEAVYWEIGHT OF ALL TIME HAHAHAH.

I have it.
Ali at the time was busy with the Black Muslim movement, and could not accept him losing to a white champion. He was furious, and said some words that I shall not repeat here.
Jeffries beat Ali in the computer tournament. A few historians were actually alive who saw Jeffries and said that Jeffries hook was superior to Cooper’s and Banks, and could wear Ali out, much like Smoking' Joe Frazier did in the 1971 epic battle.
Keep in mind this was 1967. Ali had only beaten Patterson and Sonny Liston. His legacy wasn’t cemented yet. Ali had not beaten Frazier, Foreman or Norton. These wins happened in the 1970's.
The only film Ali saw on Jeffries was the Johnson fight in 1910. The film is slow moving and grainy. Jeffries being older and coming off a long layoff did not have the speed of his youth. So of course he looked slower on film.
Ali looked slow when he fought Holmes. Just imagine if the only film that some future champ 50 years from now saw on Ali was his fight with Holmes. Might some brash young man call Ali slow 50 years from now if he didn’t know any better? I think so.
At any rate, here are the results

Very interesting I wonder why sonny liston, floyd patterson, and ezzard charles werent in it.
was this the very first fantasy tournament???? its actually interesting but obvisuely some of the results are bullshit. I feel joe Louis would have knocked out jack dempsey, and max baer would not have outpointed jack johnson. the only way max could have beat johnson is by knockout. and defintely jeffries outpoint ali. ALi would have boxed circles around jeffries like corbett did for 23 rounds.
This was also before ali reached his peak beating buys like williams, terrell, chuvalo, london.
