There are no Hatton topics on this entire page so i thought i would cause some contoversy,

Do people think he is

A, Going to clean out the division and become an alltime 140 pound great.
B, Defend against bums for years while never leaving Manchester like Calzaghe and retire without fighting any one else good.
C, fight only in Manchester with biased refs and retire after fighting 2-3 more fights and pretend to be the best ever.
D, travel to the states and prove to the world he is one of the best even if he loses.

Some form of D), I'd imagine. He'll fight that fella that beat Harris, in Manchester, then hopefully go for a big fight - whether that'll be in the UK or the States I dont know, but he'll have to fight in America at some point I'd imagine.

He is 'great,' just 'great' at the moment.

I hate to be cynical, coz he beat zoo, which few thought he'd do *I'm a poet and I don't know it) but I think PBF is a different kettle of fish.

So I'd go for A) if Flloyd moves up to fight Jabah D) if Flloyd doesn't and Alledgedly doesn't pussy out and crawl back into his shell.

I wouldn't really mind a more positive thinking blend of B and C. Pick up the WBA, maybe the WBC if that falls vacant so he gets the full set, which would still be no small achievement, or fight Cotto, which would still be a good fight but which Hatton would win. IMO

I don't think Hatton is interested in 'pretending' to be the best, he wants the biggest fighters, and he seems to be genuinely interested in going to America, he said he wanted to fight in Madison square garden immediately after the Tszyu fight.

It's only to be expected that negotiations will be tough with some of the fighters he wants, they are big names, and Hatton is a massive draw now, so there will be a lot of jockying for position.

They should just have a tournament.

Whoever fights Maussa is basically getting a freebie.

But if they look at it like that, they will lose.

Lets see if he has the balls to move away from mama and fight in Madison against Floyd. We all know he's great at ducking fighters he is scared shitless of, so don't expect him to do it.

Ricky... "the SHITman" Hatton!!
What a prick you are!!

Tszyu was the top man of the division

Hattons said he wants to fight in America, its Floyd who has refused to travel to Manchester.

The IBF will sanction this fight as an eliminator on who will be Ricky Hatons mandatory challenger:
Arturo Morua vs Naoufel Ben Rabah

Floyd would be a fool to travel to Manchester after what Parriss let Hatton away with in that "fight".
This 'Ricky fights dirty' is a load of bollocks, its just something the yanks have made up to try and belittle Rickys acheivements. Fighting on the inside is a legitimate part of the game, its just that it doesn't suit PBF.

There were low blows and a few rabbit punches landed by Hatton and Kostya in that fight, because of the nature of the close quarterfighting, but neither fought particularly dirty IMO.

You stay in the US PBF and let Ricky come to you.

Holding every round is not part of Boxing the ref should have stepped in and warned Hatton.

Hatton vs Tszyu was one of the dirtiest fights of all time. Hatton held and hit numerous times. He was bull rushing head first butting tszyu at ALL times. Throwing the shoulder, elbows, intensional headbutts, intentional low blows. Hatton did everything but take Tszyu down. Is this the only way he can beat Tszyu?

To his credit, Tszyu never CALLED IT but hatton was ridiculous. Hatton did what he had to do but one wonders about his innapriopriate communications with the referee. If you wat in round 3 and round 9 Hatton is seen looking at the ref to break them and nodding.

And tszyu's low blows were hardly low blows. Tszyu fought as cleanly as he could.

You would have to be blind not to see the illegal shit Hatton was doing and getting away with. Disgusting.

When they were BOXING, Tszyu was owning Hatton. On the outside Hatton was getting owned but he was coming in head first fighting illegally most of the time. He wouldn't get away with that shit in the good ol USA.

Hatton should have been deducted for the intentional low blow. he should have been counted for that beltline low blow. Tszyu should have been up on the cards.

Hatton did what he had to do to win, but he did it illegally.
CUCKOO!!!

Hatton in USA

If it was up to Hatton I don't think he'd have any objection to going to fight in america; trouble is FW won't have the same thing in mind; FW knows he can fill the MEN arena no matter who he puts Hatton up against, and I fear he'll keep the Hitman in Manchester fighting "lesser" oponents until Flloyd gets impatient and goes up to fight Judah. Look how long it took him to get Hatton a title fight, 38 fights, more than Tszyu has had in his entire (pro) career!!!! This would be no fault of Ricky's of course, but I can see it happening. Whaddaya think???
