I noticed that Matt Smith will present tomorrow, does anyone know the commentators are?

This is an important thread, no responses? Anyone actually know?

No idea. But I'm ringside should they need a frightening mix of psuedo-Geordie anglo-saxon.

Jim fornicating Rosenthal commentated and it was horrendous.

I must have blocked that out of memory. But that was before the deal with Frankie boy, hopefully that now means a proper team must now be found. Hmm, maybe a "dream ticket" of Harry Carpenter and Reg Gutteridge, with Rosenthal providing occasional "insight"? :D

I'm hearing that ITV have poached Jim Neilly and he's got a contract which pays him £500 every time he says the words 'the big Cuban'.

Anyone else think Steve Holdsworth is the best of the bunch at the mo? I really like the guy.

Yeah I do, but he has a slightly unusual remit - 2 hours talking to himself about anything that comes to mind on a non-mainstream channel. Not sure how that would translate to ITV!

I think they'd stick it on at 7am and call it GMTV

I wouldn't mind Dave Brennan, to be honest.

Steve is entertaining and tells it like it is. He'd be a good choice. One thing he'd have to change for a mainstream audience is when he gives his scores out. He says things like "Right, that's the first five rounds to X then". Imagine if it was a close one and the judges went the other way (justifiably). The mainstream audience would think the game is even more bent than it is.

Steve would definitely get my vote though. I love it when he slags the alphabet boys.

They do seem to repeat shows on ITV2 a fair bit so they most probably will.

Glynn Evans has been doing a good job for the Maloneys this year, he notices good shots, gets plenty of info in and lacks bullsh*t. He did the Earl Bennett fight with Curtis McCormack recently screened on C5.

He gets my vote in the "new blood" contenders.

Only thing is, Steve Holdsworth is very very negative sometimes, he can come across as very jaded, it's fine if you already know your boxing, but for someone just getting into the sport, he could give a very negative view of the game.

I couldn't agree more, I can't stand him.

I think Ian Darke's contract at Sky runs out early next year and I wouldn't be suprised if he ended up on ITV.

If that's the case, it's cos the poor fornicator is on his own for two hours. You would end up jibbering as well.

  Very good point. And it's alone in a studio somewhere as well, he doesn't get sent to many fights!

OK, so the boxing is on ITV2. WILL IT BE REPEATED ON ITV1?

Had a look at listings up until next Friday, and I don't see either a repeat or highlights on ITV1.

Don't know why, You'd think they'd want their money's worth out of this, and also the terrestrial exposure, whether it's a graveyard slot or not.

Anyone know if I can get this on sky digital?. I have ITV 3 on the digital listings and that comes through and then a bunch of ITV 1 listings on "Other Channels" but sadly none of them come through. Anyone know any kind of channel code that will bring ITV into the listings or any other way to get ITV 2?
