With less then a week to go, any predictions on how this one will go?

Skeltons non stop pressure, agression, greater stamina and crowding tacticts will first mentaly then phsically wear down Williams for a points or late stoppage victory.

I think it all depends on Williams. We know exactly what Skelton will bring to the party - strength, aggression relentless determination. That will be good enough to beat the Danny Williams who generally turns up for action. However Williams at his best, well then it might be a different story. A very interesting fight.

Too true. We all know what Skelton brings to the table on a consistent basis. The outcome all depends on how firm Danny's confidence and stomach are

I don't know much about Skelton. I've only seen him in highlight clips. He doesn't look like to much of a boxer, just a brawler with alot of pressure. I think Williams is going to step to the plate for this fight and I'm picking him to win........

I think the fight will go like that, just swap the names around :)

Williams by 3rd round KO, no doubt in my mind.

Skelton will get found out this time, i have said before in previous threads that Skelton reverts back to K1 when he gets a good shot onto the chin, and trys to take a couple more in a macho show , so everyone can see how much of a shot he can take. this will be his downfall against Williams.

Williams needs to get warmed up well and start fast, not his usual game i know , but he needs to get heavy shots off first, the uppercut will be a major weapon for him throwing it as Skelton comes in, Williams is one of the heavys that can throw a decent Left uppercut, follow this through with a sharp right, goodnight Skelton

The problem with Williams is you can never bet money on him stepping up to the plate. Against Tyson he was more relaxed because nobody thought he'd win. Against Sam, he looked like he'd never even watched boxing before because everyone expected him to win.

If this fight had happened right after the Tyson fight, I'd have picked Skelton because Skelton has more chance of realistically winning (Tyson is well past it). And because after beating such a big name Williams would be putting too much pressure on himself.

I go for Skelton to wear Williams down for a late stoppage win...Samil Sam set the blueprint :TU:

Skelton wins, probably on points, i think Williams is underestimating Skelton and i think he will be suprised what Skelton brings on Saturday.

I hope to god Williams finds that chin with some combinations and ends this early. No way should he be losing to someone who pushes his punches like Skelton does.

Danny should be up for this big-time

The ref will be the main one who decides the outcome in this fight.

Skelton needs to make it as messy as he can to deny Danny the use of his skills.
If the ref keeps breaking them up and tries to make it too tidy Danny will KO Skelton.

But if Matt can rough Danny up and deny him room then Danny will switch off and get disheartened.

Skelton is the hungrier and mentally stronger of the two, I just can`t imagine him ever getting disheartened.

Skelton I choose to win...but who`s reffing it??

I think Skelton will win. A stoppage around 10. What weight will Williams come in at I think that could be a factor. Also he injured his shoulder again against Klitschko who knows how that hold up.

Skelton will win by TKO!

Danny Williams is the better fighter and this will prove true on Saturday night.

I dont see what Williams has done to say he is better than Skelton. Both have had the British title and nothing more.

Yes Williams beat Tyson but he was beyond shot.

He has more technical ability no doubt but Skelton is better in other areas.

I think they're about the same level myself which will hopefully make for a decent fight.

I fancy Skelton to win it, Williams' renowned mental defficiencies could be his undoing on the night.

Williams is just as gutsy as Skelton and has proven it on numerous occasions versus Potter, Tyson and Klitschko.

He has the more concussive one punch power as Potter, Meehan and more suggests

He's arguably stronger than anyone Skelton has faced, more seasoned and operated at a higher level than Skelton.

Skelton wont be able to push Danny around, he wont be able to barge and bundle Danny around and if he cant do that and Williams can maintain some distance he can punish Skelton. I think Skelton is easy to hit, is predictable and just marched forward and throws 'arm' punches.

Williams should be able to shoot straight and hit him with everything.

Williams I think will be motivated and hungry for this bout and will stop a gallant Skelton in 8 rounds.

This isn't to dissrespect Skelton and it isn't to claim Williams is really Larry Holmes because clearly he isn't but I just think Williams negates Skelton's strengths more than visa-versa.

Skelton doesn't have the experience nor the skills that Danny has and this is why I think he will lose. But it is the best all British match up since Bruno V Lewis (not that there is much to compare it to).

Agree with those sentiments.

In addition, I would add that Danny is unlikely to be intimidated by Skelton after having faced Tyson and Klitchsko.

Hard not to like the Matt Skelton personality ( same goes for Danny ) but as a fighter, to be brutaly honest, he looks a poor excuse for a world class fighter.
It looks a 50/50 affair, but class tells, so I'll go for the erratic Williams to expose the protected Skelton by knockout -

Williams KO 6.

Both fighters wrestle each other throughout with Danny doing the better work on the inside. Skelton to swell up and cut badly and the doctor will halt it. Williams TKO round 7 with both fighters exhausted and Skelton seeking a rematch.
