Overhand Right, I found that site too. I'm glad that he is doing all right. I believe that I read somewhere that he did time for murder after he finished boxing. I'm not 100% sure about that, but I believe I saw it in a boxing magazine. I guess he is one guy that doesn't get many hecklers in the audience.

TO OVERHAND RIGHT: Is this "TIGER" WILLIAMS the same "BIG ROY" WILLIAMS from Baltimore who was a legend in the gym when he spent 2 days beating the hell out of ALI becuase his fight in ZAIRE on the undercard was scratched at the last minute and as a result he was out five grand so when they got back to the states WILLIAMS, who for some reason, blamed ALI for the loss of his purse and laid it on him for 2 days screaming at ALI "PUNK, PUSSY, FAGGOT!! Give me my God damn money". After 2 days of this ALI had a check cut for the five grand just to get rid of him. WILLIAMS also lasted into the 10th rd with SHAVERS and went the full 10 with HOLMES. He also dropped an 8 rounder to RICHARD DUNN in January of '73. Go figure. Is this the same guy? Where was that site your talking about? Dan Coli

oh yes mate, its the very same roy williams who did all those things.
gave ali hell in sparring. fight got taken off rumble in the jungle undercard and he lost money so he took it out on ali. noone could subdue big roy. earnie shavers sparring partners warned him wayback never to fight a guy named roy williams, because he was one nasty, surly, dangerous son of a bitch. earnie admitted he wouldnt even walk through philly because he was scared of running into roy.
EVERYONE in the 70s was scared of roy williams, even larry holmes.
if you want to find that site, go to the post title "roy williams and the new heavyweights", the address is under there.

I was reading a Don King biography yesterday and it was mentioned in the book that Roy Williams did go to jail for murder after his boxing career ended. I would like to see some video of Williams if anyone has any.

Overhand Right, the book I was reading is "Only in America" by Jack Newfield. It was written in 1995. Roy Williams is referenced in the book 5-6 times.
