Tony Doherty is more Irish than Welsh, he's a good prospect.
Of course there is Ben Dunne aswell.

Lidsay's had three fights, 3 wins 2 ko's but the boxing press are calling him the new McGuigan.
early days but he has class all over him.

i use to live in donegal county. city of Dunfanaghy... i only lived there for 4 years.. i was born here in america and our family was just living in ireland for a few years

Dunne was terrible in his last fight anyway. He won a controversial 96-94 decision against Yuri Voronin, a guy who was shut out 100-90 by Mzonke Fana who was then easily KO'd in 2 rounds by Barrera.

Yup I was always suspicious of Dunne who was in fairness a very good amateur but he just doesnt look to have anything to threaten the best in the pro ranks

funnily enough rory ive been impressed with a guy with the same name as you a Paul McCloskey he only had two fights but he 's got some nice moves and is cool under pressure, good to watch.

What about Matthew Macklin? Isn't he supposed to be Irish, or of Irish stock? He's fighting in the USA sometime soon, I think.
