Samuel Peter, what route does he take (IBF or WBC)

Seems like Peter has the option of fighting Wlad for a shot at the IBF belt or Samil Sam for the WBC belt.

I personally would rather see Peter and Wlad go at it, what everyone else think ???

Peter has a hard punch, not more. But enough that IMO Wladi would avoid him.

Sinan has good boxing skills and a good chin and hits as hard as Peter. I would favour SSS here.

But in the end it´s easier to win vs Byrd than Vitali. So the IBF way is the easier way... :box:

I want to see Peter/Sam so this fraud can be exposed once and for all.

Because Sam would beat him, IMO. Peter doesn't have much way of winning that fight because he sure as hell ain't winning with this supposed 'huge punch' of his.

as for Wlad, I believ Wlad beats him but there's always a chance of Peter landing, and he CAN hurt Wlad.

I'm not sure the Duva's will be racing to accept either of these fights for Peter. Wladimir is clearly going to be vulnerable to Peter's big punches but then again Wlad might have a good night and stick him with the jab and make use of his size advantage. And Samil Sam is something of a brawny handful who might engage Peter head on and win, he can give it and take it.

Contrary to recent promises to "let him off the leash" I expect to see Peter treading water against less dangerous opposition for a while longer yet while he improves further and positions himself for a straight shots at either Ruiz or Byrd.

If Wlad can avoid a big shot, he stops Peter.

Wlad would probably get KO'd by Peter. He'd burn up so much nervous energy as he seems to when he faces guys who can whack, Peter would only need to get as far as the third or fourth and he'll have him on a plate. Thats if he hasnt connected with a big shot in those first three rounds anyway.

Of course Wlad has a chance but I think he'd have to stop him in the first 3 rounds or he'd be up shit creek.

Both Wlad and Samil Sam is advised/co managed by Sauerland so that will probably also have a role on who will meet who.

I just know that there is a fight planned with SSS on October 1st. Could be Peter. I don´t think that Wladi fights Peter.

Quite happy to have been wrong here, Peter faces Wladimir Klitschko in September.

I'd be happy with a scenario which loosens Dick Con's grasp on the heavyweight division in particular. Warren and Saureland are like Bambi and Thumper compared to him and his greed/power-trip etc. etc. alledgedly.

I think the more winnable option for Peter is Sam (over Wlad) although the consequences is far harder (Vitali over Byrd).

I would make Peter the favourite against both, but Wlad's size and strength and decent technique might prove to be difficult. Alot will depend on the pace Peter sets and his own stamina.

With an untested fighter like Peter it could be a repeat of Wlad vs Mercer. Wlad can fight at that pace all night.

Sam has just gone to fat and too slow for any of the top ten at the moment. He doesn't have great power and even his much respect chin gave way in his last fight.

I'd actually favour Vitali over Peter even though Wlad is the better boxer. Samuel basically plods forward and looks to land a haymaker. He's begging for a Lewis - Tua type shut out. I believe Vitali has a better chance of doing this because he uses his height and reach much the same way Lewis did: he'll stand straight up and pull straight back, drape his arms OVER in the clinch - and the clinch would be crucial in a Peter fight, because Samuel would hit you from behind if he could get away with it. Someone who sticks out a long jab, keeps moving to the left, clinches like a frightened rabbit, and has enough of a dig themselves to make him think, will beat him lopsidedly. If his chin is anything other than high end good, he'll get stopped.

Another reason I'd favour Vitali over Wlad is because, obviously, the younger brother has HUGE question marks over confidence, chin, punch resistance and motivation. He also doesn't use his height and reach like his brother and Lennox did; he usually gives most of it up due to the way he likes to fight. I think that would play into Peter's hands (in that his chin would not only be easier to catch, but he would be able to get more leverage into his haymakers - something he'd have trouble with against the taller heavy's who fully take advantage of their height). Still, Wlad would be a big step up for Peter and hopefully it would be a competitive fight that lasted till at least the 10th, then we'd pretty much have the book on both fighters.

Great assessment, I think your golden hands have that spot on. Both WBC and IBF routes look tough for Peter, but Wlad and Byrd looks better than Samil Sam and Vitali. I'm prepared to believe Peter can take out Wladimir more than Vitali who is a professional league ahead of his more talented brother.

Sam definetly has a chance against this version of Wlad, who is severely shell shocked after recent batterings. However, Wlad is big and strong enough to Hammer him too, pick 'em fight in my book.

Glad you agree. Let's just hope the bouts scheduled for the 24th come off! :box:

Can't remember how many times in the recent past 'injuries' have scuppered a good heavyweight fight.
