Which round do you think Bowe would have KO'ed Lewis in, if they fought back in 1995?

A) First round.

B) Second round.

Sorry ladies and gentlemen, but the photo in the previous post was incorrectly identified. It is not a photo of Riddick Bowe as posted, but none other than Brit fighter Lennox Lewis. He was shown in the photo heading for an exit, once a Bowe vs. Lewis fight was announced.

Bowe dumped the belt rather than fight Lewis that much is fact.

Goodnight.

Funny when Lewis was arguing with him after he beat Holyfield and was saying are going to call you chicken Bowe.

Definitely would have been a great match-up - And I agree it is silly to suggest BOWE by either first or second rd KO -

Though, it is also silly to suggest Bowe was sacred of Lewis - In that the reality is when Bowe decided against fighting Lewis is was for MONEY reasons plain and simple (and everyone in the biz knows this!)

If I had to bet the farm on the fight...I'd take Bowe by mid to late round TKO -

Bowe dumps the title rather then fight, and Lewis is remembered as the chicken. Hmmm.

Well, if you was promoting the fight, and Lewis was demanding like $20 to fight Bowe or not fight at all, although Bowe was the BIG name, and Lewis had yet to make a name for himself in either England or America.... and if the attendance wouldn't show up, and you could possibly take a huge loss of say, $15 million... would you have given Lewis what he wanted??

Well, if you're dumb, you might have, but most promoters know all the "numbers" ahead of time. And they are NOT stupid and wreckless with their money. Lewis was worth maybe $2.5 million for the fight at that time. Bowe was the markee name back then, NOT Lewis.

A reasonable share would have been Bowe 6 to 7 million, and Lewis 2 to 2.5 million.

Heck, the promoter would have made 3 times more money, had he signed Frank Bruno to fight Bowe in England; maybe 2 times the money for Bowe vs. Bruno in Las Vegas or NY!!

So, the promoter was like, screw the WBC, dump their belt, and let's find an opponent who is not nuts and not full of themselves ( and basically not afraid of Bowe )...

Out went Chicken Lewis, in stepped Jesse Ferguson, who just had beaten contender Ray Mercer. Bowe KO's a brave Ferguson in 1 round.

END OF STORY

Bowe would have got sidetracked after seeing someone in Lewis’ corner holding a doughnut at ringside, resulting in Lewis KO’ing him in the second round.

I dont think there can be any doubt that the Riddick Bowe that beat Holyfield in their first fight would have been too good and KO'd Lewis. :TU:

Yeah about 21 issues judging by the amount of Americans Lewis has beaten in the pros! As for the 1988 Olympic Super Heavyweight final, it's like it didn't happen or the result didn't count.
