Jeff Fenech vs Manny Pacquiao at Super-Bantam. What If?

Who do you think would win if Jeff Fenech and Manny Pacquiao had been able to meet at Super-Bantamweight?

I think this is a good match-up between two all action agressive fighters whom both had good power and both traveled through the weight classes with pleny of success.

Would Fenech be too strong for Pacquiao? Or would Pacquiao be too fast for the Aussie toughman?

Fenech.

Would have been a fantastic match-up!! -

But at JFW Fenech would have been too tough for the Pac Man - Fenech was just a brutal mawler / brawler - When healthy I think he would have been simply to tough for Pac -

Great fight with tons of action - Fenech by late rd TKO -

Yeah, this would be a great fight but I think Jeff would be too strong and relentless for Paq... and I think he'd wear him down and win by a late ko or stoppage. :box:

I agree with you guys, maybe a more interesting match up would be Fenech vs. Morales. That would no doubt be a war. I'm leaning towards Morales on that one though. (Maybe it's my natural bias but I honestly think Morales would have been too strong, too big, and maybe too smart for Fenech because when Morales fights smart he's a force to reckon with.) But Pac-Man and Fenech would still be a competitive fight i'm not saying Pac-Man would be outclassed I just see Fenech as the safer bet if it ever did happen.

I'd go for Jeff too as he was a terrific fighter. I think he could have gone on and on achieving if it wasn't for his brittle hands. he should have got the victory in the first fight with Nelson. Nelson claimed to have some kind of diesease for the first fight (malaria?) and in the 2nd fight Fenech had severe hand trouble.

I'd like to see Pac in with Naz. That would be two huge punchers trying to blow one another away.

Thats what Nelson claimed after the fight and to be honest I believe him. Nelson never struck me as the type of fighter to make false excuses and the result in the rematch seemed to support this.

Well Pac does not suck, however in a fight with Fenech it might just look like he sucked.

Traces of malaria yes. No way would/should a fighter be inside a ring with the full blown version of the disease. The rematch saw Fenech by his own admission too cocky and he paid the price

Fenech - Pacman. Fenech mauls Pacman in the later rounds to a stoppage. These guys were in different leagues

I've always questioned Manny's mental toughness. Never his ability.
But if Pacman mentally wilts under the relentless assault of the Australia's Mr. Tough Guy, then his body is sure to follow.
Manny starts looking to Roach for support midway thru the 4th round, and by the 8th he sinks to the canvas, unable to absorb further punishment.
He won't get up.
