I don't know what the state of his injuries was, but Harry Simon (IMO) was given a rather leanient two year sentence after being found guilty of culpable homicide. It was a four year sentence with two suspended (which suggest the judge has realised that he needs to make a living while young). With Good behaviour he could be back in serious training next year.

I was expecting him to go down for longer than that.

How old is Simon now? If he makes a ring return it all depends on what condition he is in, i don't expect prison in Namibia to be a very forgiving place. It would be good to see him try and fulfill some of the potential he showed prior to getting sent down but as far as being a new hope to rule the Middleweight division i think we better look elsewhere.

Good point, didn't realise that Simon was 32 - I thought he was around the 26 mark when he fought Kranjc.
