Wlad vs Peter

I just watched Peter vs Diaz and I have to say I wasn't impressed at all, I don't know what the Doodles are on about in their hype of Peter because frankly, he's crap!!!
He has a very, very lucky punch(er's) chance against Wlad and that's it.

Peter has good power from what I've seen so far. He's got a good chin from the fights he's had, but he also hasn't meet any punchers. Wlad would be wise to use his height and reach advantages and pepper Peter with the jab all night. If he can jab Peter to death for the early rounds, it will open up the door mid way in the fight for him to start landing some power shots. All but 2 Peter KO's are 4 rounds or less. Wlad just has to have his head together and I think he has a good chance in this fight......

Thing is Mr Bassie, who is there that is much better.

Brock looks okay but not sure about his chin.

Sam is surely too slow to be considered very good.

Kransiqi struggled with Hoffman

Wladimir = stamina issues

Tua = too slow

Barrett = journeyman turned world class due to the depth of this devision

Rahman - inconsistent

Toney - Old Middleweight

Byrd - small, and aging

Ruiz - loses to middleweights

Golota - chokes

Brewester - excellent vs Golota but "lost" to Meehan

Meehan - Pummeled by Rahman

Sanders - Semi pro golfer with a stamina problem

I don't think Peter is all that either, but 99% of the Heavyweight champions and contendors are not all that aswell.

I don't want him to comeback but I actually miss Joe Mesi and he wasn't that good either.

I suppose so, but I think WK will have an easy time of it.

Wlad looks like a deer in the headlights these days, still shell shocked from crashing down to earth so suddenly. Even the limited African will probably clobber him.

Wlad early or Peter Late.

IMO the fight won´t last long, maximum 6-8 rounds, 65/35 Peter because of Wladis chin :box:

Yes, by late I mean later.....Wlad in 1-5 or Peter after.

Wlad will be by far the biggest man Peter has faced though, reckon he may well struggle.

Peters chin is rather untested. I only give him better chances because of the psychic and chin problems Wladi has had since the Sanders-fight. The "old" Wladi should outbox Peter. But maybe we won´t see the "old" one anymore......

THis fight shows the way. If Wladi lost that fight he would retire.......

I have a feeling Peter might just get bludgeoned to the canvas really early.

I have a good feeling that every title is hold by a european boxer at the end of the year not later than in spring 2006. this is what I said at the beginning of the year and things are going well...

Didn't Audley have his esteemed WBF belt taken off him due to inactivity though? Surely that is a spanner in your plans.

I'd expect him to look shorter compared to Wlad too.

I was reading an interview with Manny Steward about how easy this fight would be. He was saying how he has had success in the past devising fight plans for tall boxers against short brawlers eg Hearns/Duran & Lewis/Tua.

I thought maybe he's on to something but you simply can't count out Klit's mental demons. Those 2 were hardly lacking in self belief.

If this was the Wlad that pummelled Mercer i'd expect a similar fight unfolding . As it isn't it really is a toss up.
If i had to make a prediction i would say - Peter takes too many shots and loses all the early rounds but once Wlad sees he's not discouraged by round 4 he begins to crumble.

He's a good 4-5 inches shorter, it's the hat which makes him look taller.

I won't be surprised to see Peter out before 4 either.

Bring IT On!!

The top of his head is up to Wlad's eyebrows though so he's not that much shorter!

Wlad's chin looks like mine too. :o

No it isn't, it reaches the bridge of Wlad's nose, you obviously overestimate the size of his spam.
