Just saw him on ESPN and wondering what you think of him?

His fights seem to be massively hand picked.

This latest "opponent" ran away for 2.5 rounds then got "decked" by nothing arm punches.

What would happen if he was put in with i dunno someone like Sam Peter cos i know he'd get taken aprt by a decent boxer.

bradinho, butterbean is a circus attraction who is always a local draw for comedy value, he fights 4 rounders against club fighters and doesn't ever intend to step up his opposition. Many of his lowly foes have been accused of taking dives.

I guess he's making money, somehow, so I suppose we should give him credit at least for that, if not condemn him for sullying the name of boxing.

53 Year old Larry Holmes jabbed his head off for 10 rounds when they fought. Think that answers it?

Peter would smash him into a million pieces. Butterbean has never fought anybody of note. His first loss (TKO 2) was against a guy called Mitchell Rose with a record of 1-7-1 who then went on to lose his final two fights and end his career with an impressive 2-9-1.

Yes, most heavyweights would probably use Butterbean as a punching bag. But Butterbean might have KO'ed Lennox Lewis, if he was ever given the opportunity to fight Lewis.

i find butterbean really boring to watch. That bum he fought recently was a joke, he didn't even get hit clean and he went to the floor.

Just wanted to know if anyone had seen him fight a real deal heavyweight and not just the jokes over four rounds.

Plus he pisses me off on EA Fight Nights 2 where he is actually quite good!!!!

I sat near him at the Williams v Meehan fight, I think he was over here to fight the mighty Brit Shane Woollas.

He wasn't quite mobbed, but unless people thought it was Steve McFadden back from the woods, he was very popular.

I guess he's the missing link between boxing and wrestling.

And as such is a very visible, indentifiable fighter.

What was funny, was he clearly tried to shape up for the Larry Holmes fight, check out the relative weights to the rest of his 'career'. And still got pummelled.

The guy is a circus curiosity in the context of the real heavyweight picture.

For interest, the first guy to beat him, Mitchell Rose, is making a comeback.

I despise fighters like Butterbean...they come into this sport and just because he is a very large slob with a bald head he ends up making a hell of a lot more money than true boxers...and for doing nothing but knocking out fighters that don't even come close to qualifying for journeymen status...Butterbean is the ugly capitalistic side of the sport, not that I am against capitalism, but it certainly has several ugly faces, freakshows like Butterbean is one of the faces!

Ah I wouldn't lose any sleep over a guy like Butterbean, like someone else said, he's just a circus attraction. Usually fighting 4 rounders at casinos or fighting martial artists in K1. I guess he's just trying to make a bit of money at the end of the day.

I've just seen that the "Current Scene" are now running a thread on Butterbean in fact they spelt it "Beutterbean" or sommit worse!!! LMAO!!

Aint he fought in the UK before? Shame I didn't see that one.
