ill say this, he never really materialized. he only fought two great fighters of the 70s and lost a decision to holmes and a close war with shavers knocking shavers down in the tenth before shavers came back to knock out tiger in the same round.
other than those two fights he never fought any contenders of the 70s. he lost a decision to richard dunn and beat a novice young inexperienced jimmy young who had fought only 4 fights.
why didnt tiger fight foreman or lyle??? or jerry quarry???
he served as a sparring partner for ali and i think he was thrown out because ali could no longer beat him he had aged so much and tiger was in his prime. tiger had he beaten shavers would have got a shot at ali.
would tiger have beaten a old 1976 ali????
to answer ur question, i think tiger would be at the top of todays heavyweights and would be a top contender for one of the titles. i think he beats ruiz and bryd.
