It would be an awesome fight. I'd have to say Olivares as well, but Zarate definetely has a puncher's chance.

Yes this could be a bantam version of Foreman vs Lyle... but I think Olivares extra speed would be the difference.

I love Olivares - But this is a true pick'em - I could see either guy winning -
Though if I had to bet it all ....I'd probably take Zarate by early KO - (after 5 rounds I'd go with Olivares)

I'll go with Zarate. While Olivares is the better fighter I think King Carlos can take Rockabye Ruben's punches better than vice versa.Fantastic fight regardless of outcome.

You are on a roll today, silkov, another good matchup. I was a huge fan of both of these boxers. Zarate was very patient, doing his work with that constant left uppercut to the belly, and while his long right hand looked dangerous most of the damage he caused was done with very short hooks and uppercuts from the inside. Sometimes he could look awkward and gangly and he got away with several mistakes of form due to his height. Olivares was a very aggressive boxer with lots of pop in his hands and an underrated defensive fighter and strategist. I see this fight as Zarate a cautious aggressor early Olivares looking for openings and trying to counter him with hard punches, though if he started fast and jumped on Zaraate it wouldn't be a huge suprise. Zarate's lack of mobility- well, his being slower afoot than Olivares would ultimately cost him the fight, I think, as Olivares would end up fighting similar to how he fought Arguello, and its is very possible he would win a decision. That is, in my mind, the most likely outcome, though my heart tells me that Zarate would hit too hard for him and he would ko Olivares before the 9th
