Who would have won if 'Big' John Tate and Ray Mercer had been able to meet in their primes?

These were both, big, strong rugged boxers whom also had very good amateur careers.

When Mercer was up for a fight as when he fought Tommy Morrison and Lennox Lewis he was a very dangerouse fighter, with a good jab, KO power and of course great chin.

Likewise when Tate was 'up' he was also a real handfull like when he bombed out Duane Bobick and went into the opponents back yard and in front of huge crowds beat Kallie Knoetze and the then unbeaten Gerrie Coetzee. However Tates chin was at times his downfall, he was KO'd a few times as an amateur and the awkward, strong Trever Berbick also stopped him.

So who would win? :box: :box:

If both fighter are 'clean' and in shape I actually lean towards John Tate to overcome a few shaky moments early on to pull away in the second half of the fight to win a 15 points victory.

But do you agree??? :TU:
