Interesting Barrera interview.

Over at fightnews now. He discusses the problems he has to make the weight, he is apparently stuffing his face to make the limit. This shows that he is obviously still training like a maniac, but surely its not good that he is fighting above his weight category.
Thing is though, can't see any natural Super Feathers who can touch him currently.
I'm glad he is no longer thinking of making history and moving up again. I think he wants to go back to 126 - so lets not count out Barrera vs Harrison.
There is also an interview with who is probably Barrera next opponent after Peden, Manuel Medina. He really wants this sixth title but has said that he will probably retire if unsuccessful. I just hope that at this stage in both of these warriors careers, that they don't get seriously hurt.

Barrera is phenomenal. I thought he'd reached the end of the road after losing to Pacquaio but he's come back as strong as I can remember him in a long time. I think a fourth fight with Morales is inevitable at some point.
Barrera would beat Harrison with his eyes closed.

Barrera V Morales IV why not eh, they have all been great so far. Morales was quite compehensively beaten last time out though, and got his beak pretty badly mashed, but I'm sure the money would be there to tempt him into another.
Would love to watch him fight Harrison, he would be relieving the Scot, Scott of his belt, but whoopeedoo he's past his best anyhow.

Wouldn't say he got his beak badly bashed, some people had Morales winning, not me though i had Barrera the winner.

I thought the 3rd was the possibly the closest fight in the series
My cards had Barerra winning the first fight by 1, Barrera winning the second fight conclusively and either a draw or a Barerra win by a round in the third.

Morales' nose broke in the 3rd or the 5th not sure, from that awesome little three punch flurry ending in that catchy uppercut. Probably the punch of the fight.
I had it wider than a round too, there was certainly no question who had won.

Yes that was a beautiful combo. Barrera was awesome in the third fight considering he was being well outweighed.

Barrera looks in for a tough one coming up: Peden is a real hard case, and bust up the Mexicans ribs while sparring. I think I read the Aussie was beaten half to death by a baseball bat a few years back, while he slept one night - and still came back right as rain...
Stopping the dangerous Nate Campbell twice is an excellent result, and the boy's obviously on a roll.
If MAB is on peak form, he'll win for sure. But anything less and he might be having flashbacks to the PacMan fight.
Good fight and I'm looking forward to this one.

I'm fairly sure there will be a Barrera vs. Morales 4.. all the others have been so controversial.. I had Morales winning the first two and Barrera winning the last one.. Each fight in the trilogy has had different views so i'm sure there will be a fourth and that one too will have a controversial end... unless someone gets KO'd then people will say that that fighter was in getting old or he'd been in too many wars.. Can't wait..

I love Barrera, hes one of my favorite fighters currently and I should be shot for saying this but I have a nagging feeling that Peden is going to beat him. I hope not but I think Peden presents a bad style matchup for Barrera.
