It's a fantastic line up for us kicking off this Friday night, which match up will provide the most fireworks?

Woods v Gonzalez - almost certain to be a grueling battle
Calzaghe v Ashira - well at least it should be a good KO
Khan v Carey - just the sight of Amir opening up with combos is exciting enough
Dann v Elcock - really looking forward to this
Barrera v Peden - could be one to remember
Mosley v Cruz - if Shane really is on the slide he could be in bother here
Moore v Walker - champ is a big favourite but it could be a war while it lasts
Kotai v Thiam - could be a quailty clash
Duran v Sinclair - very interesting
Klitschko v Peter - see above
Cotto v Torres - Columbian sounds raw but must have a serious dig
Okine v Anderson - tough test for the young Scot
Earl v Romanov - looks a big risk on paper
Corrales v Castillo - can't see them letting anyone down
Haye v Hobson - imagine the atmosphere when they finally go head to head


This bunch of fights reminds me of this time a couple of years ago when we had the likes of Brodie v Chi, Gomez v Arthur, Barrera v Pacquiao among others, all to look forward in a short space of time.

Looking forward to Wlad/Peter & Barrera/Peden, plus Haye/Hobson - if it ever comes off - will no doubt be a good one.

Looking forward to all them fights, thats what boxing is all about.

Out of that list, the one I'm most looking forward to is Dann - Elcock (though must admit some local bias towards Scott), and am hoping to get down to it. Should be a great fight while it lasts... Scott KO3

Haye - Hobson is the other one... after all the buildup, all the beef, and all the antics on Doghouse this year.... I can't imagine what it'll actually be like when they get in the ring. Can't wait.

Corrales - Castillo II is mouthwatering too... if its even 50% of the first fight it'll be awesome.

I'd say the Haye-Hobson and Klit-Peter fights may end up being rather short, and attractive for their interesting outcome rather than their belletically choriographed performances (or rather not seen) during the actual fight.

Woods - we can but hope for a repeat or even an improvement on the Hoye performance. Bit of a fingers crossed job there. Ditto Anderson for me. I'd hate to see him stopped in his tracks by Okine. All the best to him.

Not sure I can quite say the same for Earl v Romanov, which is a bit more WTF? Interesting to say the least that one.

Good connections.........he's been knocking over stiffs by the looks of it. Cotto will wack him out inside 5 rounds

Well they needed a replacement and on paper this lad looks like he brings some punching power to the table. He'll probably be way out of his depth, flailing around like Carlos Maussa but he'll provide some excitement I'm sure.

Torres is young and probably thinks he can KO just about anyone. Notice how many of his wins are proper knockouts where the guy didn't make it up before 10. Okay I'll stop trying to talk him up now...

There are some other intriguing fights....lets not forget Nagy vs Tontchev, Jones vs Tarver III and Morales vs Raheem (didn't realise its a lightweight fight).

Its really only Khan vs Carey and Calzaghe vs Ashira that look like mis matches (and you don't expect a fighter making his second pro outing to be in a toughy). I think Barrera vs Peden is pretty much a forgone conclusion aswell.

Calzaghe in a mismatch? Whatever next!!

Really looking forward to Hobson v Haye after all the hype.

Peden will do well to topple Barrera but the great Mexican is far from unbeatable. I think it'll be an attractive fight.

Oh and of course we couldn't forget Krasniqi v Brewster on the 28th, shame we won't see that on tv for a while. I wouldn't like to be sat next to Bubi if Luan starts to really get on top in that fight.

I also think Barrera-Peden is a lot more interesting and will be tougher for Barrera than people expect, they have sparred lots of rounds together and Peden is a hard guy to break down. I think Barrera will win but i think Peden will give him a tough fight.

Can't wait for Haye-Hobson, after all the bad blood between them whoever gets sparked will be gutted 8)

Haye - Hobson for me as well, a proper grudge match. Although there's not a fight there I'm not looking forward to, to be honest. Add them to the likes of Morales/Pacman, Hatton/Tszyu, Hopkins/Taylor and Corrales/Castillo 1 earlier this year, and you have to say 2005 has been a pretty damn good year.

As you say Kilburn theres some potentially great fights, Cheers for that list its thoroughly cheered me up Hopefully we'll be able to throw in an Audley Vs top 15 contender into that list as well

Haye-Hobson is the one I'm most looking forward to after the 12-18 months of arguing thats been happening. I reckon Haye wins this one in the first half of the fight despite Hobsons solid chin, but it could be interesting it it goes past the half way mark. Haye KO4

Dann-Elcock, the BIG punching Danns a slight favourite especially with home advantage and avid fans, but I can smell an upset in this one (nothing to do with Elcock being a local lad...honest). Come on Our Wayne!!! Wayne KO7

Wlad-Peter. Peter has drew planty of attention whilst hes been KOing everyone left, right & center and we know that Wlads chin is not rock solid, but Peters skills ain't up to much and I think this fight is going to be a one sided beating in Wlads favour. Both have got suspect stamina, so it could be interesting if it goes long. Wlad KO8

Woods-Gonzalez- 2 of the top 5 LH's in the world squaring up for a recognised title, its no easy first defence for Woods, but if he carries on his excellent form from the Hoye fight I see him winning on points, maybe even late stoppage

I think Clinton fight on Friday going to be very tight,but I think he will win.
Haye v hobson the atmosphere in the leisure centre should be good.A pro Hobson crowd going home very disappointed.
Corrales v Castillo 2 should be good. Everytime I see the first fight it gets better.

Kotai will now fight Sebastian Lujan instead of Thiam. IMO it will be a tougher fight for Kotai and im actually favoring Lujan.

I am worried for Clinton, i really want him to win but i know Gonzalez is a grafter and will make it a real struggle for our man. Chambers i will put aside our Wolves/WBA differences for the Dann-Elcock fight and i will be rooting for the local boy Elcock as well

I agree, Lujan though limited is one tough nut. This is a hard fight to call.

That is a sweeeeet line-up, Kilburn. Don't know what one to look forward to most, but even though I haven't followed any of the drama in the build-up, I'm really quite looking forward to Haye - Hobson. Can't beat a tension-filled domestic mash-up live on Sky Sport's high quality cameras. Hopefully they'll go interactive with their new agenda and give us a 'crowd cam' by pressing the red button.

Wlad - Peter interests me the most, just a fight where i cannot pick a winner

Am really looking forward to Elcock v Dann and Haye v Hobson, glad both fights are still on after the delays. Have a feeling Elcock can outbox Dann and force a late stoppage and that Haye will tense up again trying to bomb Hobson out off there and be stopped in 7 rounds. Will be cheering Haye on though.

Am chuffed that Sky are showing Wlad v Peter as well, a really tough fight to pick.

Moore v Walker should be a mini classic till Walkers corner pulls him out. Really hope David can make something of the fight but will be wanting Moore to come through the winner.

Clinton will, as everyone has said, be really up against it in his first defence. I just hope we're not listening to him saying how he wasn't right after the fight and see him as fluid and confident as he was against Hoye.

Think Earl and Sinclair will both lose and am really hoping that Corrales and Castillo haven't gone against each other too soon.

As the Corrales vs Castillo bill is live we will probably get Arce vs Hussein Hussein II. Many thought the first fight eclipsed the Morales vs Pacquiao fight on the same bill.

Also, Jesus Chavez vs Levander Johnson on the Barrera vs Peden bill could be interest. I think we will have a new champ, but hey I thought Zoff in Italy was going to beat Johnson... That win was impressive.

I can't say I was that impressed with Levander Johnson. He looked like a journeyman with world class conditioning. Might sound a bit harsh but I don't expect him to take any major scalps now.
