Eriksson has got to go surely? England are a bloody shambles, it was blatantly obvious the 4-5-1 didn't work on Saturday why play it again?
And Hargreaves for Lampard when you're chasing a goal?
I'm not English, if I was I would be fuming that's 3 diabolical performances in a row now.
Shame Wales got beaten tonight, 1 v 0 but we are in transition at the moment so to be expected away to Poland!

I've always thought that bad defaets in freindlies can damage confidence and morale and that is what has happened... since the Denmark shambles the team has started to implode and Ericksson has panicked and tried to be clever with the formations but only made things worse.
The trouble is that I don't think the players beleive in Sven anymore but this is a tricky time to get rid of your manager in the run up to the Cup.
But the way England played tonight I don't see them even qualifying unless something drastic is done.

The Ulster Prods are in heaven tonight, they beat England and Ireland lose at home to France. Come to think of it the Tartan Army have to be pretty happy too.

McClaren is practically doing the job anyway. It was him at the side of the pitch shouting and giving the players their instructions while Sven bit his nails. He takes the training sessions, Sven rarely gets involved.
Why the fornicate dont they just give McClaren the job?
They are paying Sven £4 million just to pick the team it seems, and pick it badly.

He's got to go, got to get someone who can get them to play to their best of the ability. I think the ideal man is the guy who was doing the studio analysis (Dowie).
They'll qualify, cause simply the group is poor and the quality IS there. But, this is their best chance to win the world cup, they cannot afford to let it slip.
Sven should have gone after the disasterous Euro 2004.
Well done to Northern Ireland, deserved. Lawrie has certainly installed some passion there.
Future doesn't look so good for Wales now though, with another defeat and the Irish result showing that England are currently poor.

We need to bring back Savage, Fletcher and Robinson struggled in central midfield against England, Savage is at least premiership quality those guys can't even get a kick in the prem.

He gets his pick of the office girls at the FA too.... perhaps he should try playing one of them!... he probably knows more about their form and best positions!!!....

I was talking about Wales then!
But you have a point, get shot of Sven whatever it costs. England are going nowhere with him at the helm.

Or put Faria up front in a forward position. We might lose but at least it'd be entertaining.

I actually find her attractive, don't really know why but I definitely would.

Well, I can tell you Belfast was buzzing tonight! I drove through the city centre and it was packed around the bars. I'm not a football fan, but from a sporting point, Northern Ireland as a whole don't often see results like that.
Only bad point is, I'll have to live hearing about this until Im 80

IMO has England the best team in the world (exception:goalkeeper, but that´s a tradition....), seriously. But I think they have the wrong coach, they play too defensively. The players have developed and the English football too, but the coach didn´t recognise it......

By the end I was cheering for N Ireland.
Beckham either needs to stay on the right or be dropped. The side are all over the place. The world cup could end up as one of those great English spectacular failures. The last time we went to a tournament with what was thought to eb a great generation of players was Germany 1988, great stuff...

Robinson is a good goalkeeper! The problem is the manager. We still qualify 2nd round or qtr final at best. Not good enough to win.

I've been calling for Sven to go for a while now. I hate pub pundits who always reckon they could do a manager's job better, but in this case I think we all could do the job. How hard is it to pick the same 11 players that Erikson always chooses? And that's all the fornicator does!! As mentioned earlier, he seems to do fornicate all at training, and then come game time he sits in the dug-out with seemingly no fornicating idea of how to change the dross he's watching. And the tactics.... Jesus fornicating Christ. Enough with letting Beckham do whatever he wants, either play him on the right (and tell him to fornicating stay there) or don't play him. And stop putting our best, and most influential players, i.e. Gerrard, Rooney, Scholes, etc on the fornicating left wing. This shambles can be traced back to Sven's pussy attitude when it comes to friendlies: "Oh, don't worry Fergie/Arsene/Jose, I won't play your boys for more than 45 minutes, I don't want to upset you". As a result, the team never plays together and it fornicating shows, like it did last night. Look at the difference between them and the rugby team that won the world cup, and the cricket team right now. I know it's easier for the rugby and cricket teams to get the players when they want, because the clubs/counties don't have the same power that the premiership does in football, but the lesson is there: Get the fornicating team together and play together if you want to succeed. And the premiership should remember that a successful national team is good for the the club game. The rise of the premiership is in large part down to Italia 90, with Gazza and the like.
And yes, we'd be in better shape if Sir Bobby had gotten the nod. fornicate Sven, fornicate Tord Grip, fornicate the FA for paying the tit 4 million a year, fornicate THEM.
Sorry, just had to get that off my chest.

They should play Kieran Richardson on the left, he did well on the US tour scoring 2 in a game and he looked lively enough on Saturday when he came on against Wales. And he's a left sided player.
If one of Gerrard or Lampard doesn't want to anchor midfield, apparently Gerrard refused to play this role drop the fuckers. Carrick is excellent in that position. Or play Beckham in the centre with one of Gerrard or Lampard and Wright-Phillips on the right. Or even Gerrard on the right he's played there for Liverpool countless times.
Ditch Hargreaves that guy is a headless chicken and no more.
I think its unfair to criticise Beckham, he was the only England player who played well last night his passing was excellent.
One thing is for sure that 451 does not work and that was clear as day on saturday against Wales. Quite why he played it again after that shit show on saturday has to be beyond everybody.

The 2 things are linked, that's why I am criticising Beckham. Yes, I agree that he's played well enough in the last 2 games. But Sven's letting him have too much influence. Beckham's desire to play centre midfield leads to shitty ideas like 4-5-1. Eriksson clearly has no balls when it comes to his captain: He was fornicating shocking at Euro 2004, but who had to come off? Scholes, who we promptly lost to retirement. Beckham is undroppable, and it's not right. I'm not calling for him to be dropped, but the possibility at least needs to exist.

Bobby is too old, they should never have sacked him in the first place though, England were a real force when he was last in charge.
