Any news on this?

Boxing news reports Calzaghe is struggling desperately to make the weight.

Might have a wager on Ashira if that's the case.

Cheers. He certainly doesn't look too drained in that picture. I wonder if thats from an earlier press conference?

Ashira (still think A.Shearer would pose a bigger challenge) is 5 foot freaking 7. Calzaghe spoke to a local radio station and said he would use his jab more. No shit shamrock, he's going to toy with the Midget.

So am I actually (well 5 foot 7 and a 1/2 - that 1/2 is important) but I'm not 12 stone.

Slight side issue from the fight itself - alot here praised the presentation of Matt Smith, but it seems the old nose is back for this one. He is not part of the F1 team.

I don't really mind, Jim is a decent presenter and really was "Mr Boxing" (along with Newbon) in the old glory days of ITV boxing. It will infact be nice to see McGuigan and Rosenthal back together.

Just wandering if Jim will be doing the more high profile occasions, such as world title bills involving Calzaghe, Harrison, and Nelson and then leaving Matt to do the domestic bouts.

It is expected that John Rawling will make his commentary debut tonight, I wonder who will be his sidekick. Steve Collins again? I cannot see it being Ricky somehow.

You can tell the short guys, they always add the 1/2 :P

Well I`m 5ft 7" and 3/4...and exactly 12stone...the extra 1/4 of an inch lets me carry the weight of well

Incidently how tall is Kelvin `concrete` Davis  I think 5ft 7" is just about right for 168lb  :TU:

Come on Evans, you can do it for your queen and country (i think Denmark has a queen)...didn't realise he was so short though, i also came to a shocking conclusion through all of this...i am 5'8 and 12 stone..could i be the next opponent for Calzaghe :o

I have no record to speak of, a dodgy right shoulder and often lose fights :-? I can almost see the press conference now.
