I thought he was fighting Nedal? Good to see that Khan is staying busy.

Did they ever say that or was he always on a shortlist with Esham Pickering and someone else?

I know Esham is down to fight Hunter so if that goes ahead I imagine it will be Hussein

Well I think Maloney will be looking for a very low risk fight here, seeing as his belief that Scott is the "best fighter to ever come out of Scotland" has probably taken a few knocks recently.

Why is Steve Foster so highly ranked!! The Wbo again Warren fighters are very highly ranked.

Harrison has to be matched carefully against people he can beat and look good against, as soon as he gets the sniff of a good counter puncher he is in the shit.

Well, seeing as how Guzman can box and punch, i very much doubt we'll be seeing him in the ring with Harrison

He is fighting Hussein.

I think Nedal Hussein will be a decent opponent. I reckon he will run Scott close, especially with Harrison coming off an injury.

According to FW it was gonna be Spend Abazi for Harrison, but he broke his elbow at the weekend - sounds like a lucky break for UK fans.

Though that depends who they dig up next week I guess - announcement on Thursday.

BoxingTalk.net reported that Guzman said he wants to fight Harrison on that date but said that he doesn't think Warren will let Harrison fight him.

Nobody except Pacquaio wants to fight Marquez, thats the rematch that really should have happened.

Marquez would beat Manny handily in the rematch, he handled him with ease after that disastrous first round, and I think he beats Barrera in a close boring fight and Morales too.

Yeah, could've been "Kebede The Return" if that one had come off. Saying that, Ledwaba was no mug... but it looks like Abazi got him at the right time.

Anyway, it's really annoying for fans who want to see the two headliners, but are faced with the question "is it worth paying over a hundred quid to see two 6 minute mismatches?". Fair enough give the show a wide berth (as I have done many times in the past - only to watch plenty a horror show unfold on TV), but it pisses me off missing the undercard. In this particular case especially, as ITV won't even show the flipping thing.

John Simpson’s British Featherweight title fight against Andy Morris will take place on the undercard of Scott Harrison’s forthcoming title defence at the Braehead Arena on the 5th of November.

Simpson was due to face Nicky Cook, but the unbeaten Dagenham boxer who has recently been installed as the number one contender for Injin Chi’s world title by the WBC, has vacated the British title. This has opened the door for Manchester’s Andy Morris who will now face Simpson for the vacant title.

22 year old Morris is unbeaten in 11 pro bouts and is due to fight this coming Friday on the Duran v McNeil undercard in London. In May The Wythenshawe Warrior beat Rocky Dean to capture the English Featherweight title.

Also on the undercard will be the British Light Welterweight British title eliminator between Kevin McIntyre and Hartlepool’s Nigel Wright and Amir Khan’s third fight as a professional when he meets journeyman Steve Gethin.

Scott Harrison’s opponent is due to be named on Thursday. Kosovan Spend Abazi who fights out of Denmark was apparently being lined up for the role, but he broke his elbow in sparring and has been ruled out.


As well as Khan's gimme I believe Gary Young, Willie Limond & Ricky Burns are also scheduled to fight tba's so that a nice bill of boxing even without Harrison.
