Kevin Mitchell fights a guy on the 23rd of this month who was stopped by Willie Limond inside 1 round and this will bring him up to 15-0

I don't know about anyone else but after 15 fights would be the time I'd look at stepping up my fighters level. At least put Mitchell in with someone who has 5 more wins than losses which he has yet to do.

He has experience and knows what it's like to win but is old and on the slide, certainly more of a learning experience than guys who have lost more fights than they've won. Or maybe he could clear out another pospect with an 0 beside his name.

I agree totally Mitchell needs to be moved up slightly in class soon but i wouldn't put him in with that guy just yet, he has 60 wins and went the 10 with Lovemore N'dou and went 7 with Keita Manabe who is a good Japanese fighter i have seen a couple of times. I think the Thai would be a bit much but he needs to start fighting better opposition no matter what age he is.

I've mentioned Rob Jefferies a few times in the last 2 years and still think it would make a facsinating contest for the Southern Area lightweight title, if Mitchell is ok at 9st 9lbs.

He was supposed to fight Mickey Bowden for the Southern Area title but Bowden has hung up the gloves.

Bowden's last win was a controversial points win over David Bailey so it MItchell on paper should have handled him easily.

Put your Dean Powell head on and choice some opponents that would you would put Mitchell in with over the coming season

How about Rocky Dean, had a good fight against Andy Morris in his last one.

Stopped by Limond in 1 round. Holy shit, if he aint ready for this guy now then he is never going to be ready. Honestly, Willie Limond couldn't bust a grape, that chin must be made from the same stuff Herbie Hides is made off.

to be fair to Snarski he was once an OK fighter, took Alex Arthur 10 rounds in an entertaining fight, unfortunatly he's to brave for his own good, and will take a fight against anyone, I'm not looking foward to this fight.

He be a Wbu champion they wont go for the british title.

He looks ok but sometime he needs to be stepped up in class.

Kev is a special talent and anyone who has seen him up close and in the gym will testify to that..............
Admittedley this choice of opponent does seem like a step backwards to me but the feeling is that there are big plans for Kevin for this coming season and we can expect him to be kept busy with 3 or 4 fights before the xmas period

Kev is World Champ material.....how he gets there may not be to everyone taste but he will get there.....................no WBU stuff

They need to step him soon as hes a natural Ricky Hatton replacement. I haven't seen him recently, hows he been looking? how far is he away from facing the Alex Arthurs of this world (presumably too deep for at least 2years)?

I'm in agreement he is looking the business at the level he's fighting, I would like to see him taken into the later rounds by someone, see how he reacts when he doesn't blast them out earlier.

I think we'll have to get used to it, as I'm guressing this is pretty much a preview of how Amir Khan's career will be handled by his promoter.

He doesn't look to dangerous, but i wasn't expecting anything else for this match. Mitchell is young and as long as he's being trained correctly and listening to the advice he gets , then matches like this in the early stage of his career are fine.

Hopefully it will pick up in the next year, keep him busy.

Been slow so far, but I think some of that is down to Mitchells over eager style and Warren is waiting for him to mature a bit.

Your right about that, Freiheit knows his onions. And he owns a Nigel Rafferty fight too, which demands respect.

Yeah, and Mitchell is a 16 fight kid, who is still barely starting out. I don't like the arrogant fornicator, but these fights are perefctly understandable at this stage of his career

looks a decent opponent for Mitchell at this stage.
