I'm surprised you can see anything..... given that your head has "allegedly" been stuck up Mr Warrens "alleged" arse for the last few weeks

Nothing new here really - we knew last week that he has a contract, signed by Hatton, that refers to a mysterious letter sent earlier, and binned by Ray Hatton.
Strange no mention of an actual three fight agreement in this letter though - underhand way of going about it, and maybe a judge will see it that way too.

Surely it's either legally binding to try and link letter and contract or not, is the law that much of a gray area in these cases?

by Loynesy
James - the law is clear: can it reasonably implied that the terms of another letter or contract have been imported into that contract (its a bit more complicated than that but I won't bore people with the details).
It is a factual question whether this has been met in this case. One thing Hatton has had is clear legal advice from a reputable lawyer, he must fancy his chances.

I have a horrible feeling at the moment every time I think of Ricky Hatton future I think of John Contehs title reign.
Not exactly the same but I am sure you get my drift.

If Ray, as he stated "threw it in the bin".He must have read it and, if he did, which he say's he did, why did he not reply and refute the deal? Then, why did Ricky confirm it personally and have it witnessed by the Board guy, again as he clearly did in a further letter/contract.
Furthermore, why did Hatton's lawyers, as is stated on Five Live just, refer to the contents of the letter saying "they have been handed it", if, as stated, it was torn up and thrown in the bin upon opening by Ray Hatton. The only conclusion is that it is Ray Hatton is a complete liar and an opportunist. I can't help but think this would not have been an issue had Zoo beaten Hatton. allegedly's money would have been fine then no doubt.
If Ricky signed the deal himself what is his problem? Id he not the boss of team Hatton?
Another oddment is that people on here are suggesting that allegedly cannot prove what was in the envelope. Didn't this matter arise long before Ray Hatton admitted on FL that he had torn it up "Alledgedly"?
How did Warren know he had torn it up even though his own breif say's he had not.
I would be interested to hear your take on this cos from where I am standing Ray Hatton is in danger of fornicating up his son's life, bank balance and reputation on some misguided ego trip and pipe dream of becoming
Manchester's version of Don King.
This is the reason he needs the likes of Hobson and Waterman around him as they, like him are complete amatuers with no real experience and massive egos. They will let him run the show and get his picture in the paper whilst riding on Ricky's back.
The whole thing is a crying shame and the only loser will be the one taking the punches - Ricky himself. fornicate me for nearly £7M for fighting them bums for the World bullshot union strap too.

RH is in trouble if that letter was recorded delivery.

Why? That just confirms "a letter" was received, not the contents of it.

Well if he received it on recorded delivery then he MUST read it. That will not look good at all.

With respect to Conteh I have seen definate simularities since this first started. Basically Conteh tried to break away from the established system in England and become his own boss but it all went very wrong and really pretty much ruined his career. I actually think its a good thing for boxers to be their own bosses as much as they can but at the end of the day history has shown that when it comes to breaking contracts and doing away with your promoter or manager, the boxer inevitabley comes off worse in the end and often sees his career badly curtailed.

What?? How can Warren prove what was in the letter? Could have been anything in there - christmas card, fight tickets, love letter. I don't doubt Warren is telling the truth but in the eyes of the law there could have been anything in that envelope.

I was a bit perplexed by that statement, just because he sent it recorded doesn't mean it MUST have been read for certain.

But isn't this whole thing today that Fwank has produced the actual 4-fight, Hatton-signed contract now?
If that's the case, things would surely be fairly straight forward legally - Hatton's either tied to Warren or he's not.
Question is tho, if it is, why the fornicate has he waited all this time to produce it Did he actually lose it in his washing basket?

So say Hatton is still contracted to Warren what happens then? It's hardly going to be all shiny and rosy now is it after all the stuff that's happened...what can we expect if the case is Warren still owns Hatton?

Irrelevant. Warren can say anything was in there even a 5000 fight agreement. The fact they threw it in the bin doesn't look good for them. If they said we read the garbage and it was a xmas cracker and then threw it in the bin... then this would be another matter entirely. It just makes Ray hatton's camp look guilty.

Ray Hattons action was very unproffessional and underlines the fact that he isn't a proffessional boxing manager.

Yes, but surely there comes a point where the Hatton's will say 'What was in the letter?' And Frank will have to prove that? He may still be in the right, but it's a messy legal arena. Surely Hatton has had legal advice? And if he hasn't, surely Fight Academy/Sky T.V. have?
This is going to be a pointless legal battle: There is no winner.
As was mentioned, what happens if Frank wins? Hatton has to fight for him, and they both probably hate each other now. Bollocks, the lot of it.

Its very possible that Hatton has been given dodgey advise from his legal team... it has been known to happen!. I can't see Hatton and Warren being able to work with eachother again so don't really see how this will end except messily. Hatton may have to pay out substantial compensation perhaps....

On the contrary boxingtwat.
FW said exactly what was expected. Do you seriously think Hatton's team & lawyers didn't know what he was gonna produce?
