Which decade has the best quality and quantity in the heavyweight division, and had the most good fights. I thought this would be fun. Picking the 1970's with Ali, Foreman, Frazier, Norton etc. (not to mention Young,Shavers, Lyle, Quarry, and then Holmes at the end of the decade)was easy. After that there are some close calls.

1. 1970's
2. 1910-1919
3. 1960's
4. 1990's
5. 1950's
6. 1930's
7. 1940's
8. 1980's
9. 1900-1909
10. 1920's
11. 1890's
12. 2000-Now

The Teens had some great heavyweights with Langford, McVey, Jeanette, and later Wills fighting each other so often. Not to mention Jack Johnson, and at the towards the end of the decade Dempsey emerged on the scene. There were also some good second-tier fighters like Moran,Flynn, Smith,Morris and Fulton. The decade would have been better if Johnson and Willard would have made better title defenses.

The 1990's would have rated higher if fights like Bowe-Tyson,Bowe-Lewis, Bowe-Mercer, and Mercer-Tyson would have happened.

After picking on other people's lists I thought I would let others pick on mine.

Great list! i would totally agree with the order except i think the 20's should be higher. No doubt 70's was the best.
