I think of guys like buddy mcgirt, but i dont know about as many trainers as boxers, so what trainers of today or any decade, were the best boxers?

i thinks most trainers more were fighters at one time but most werent that good.

I think Jack Dempsey may have trained some fighters but that may have been more for moral support or publicity for the fighter.I remember reading he was in Max Baer's corner when he fought Louis and almost had to push Baer out he was so terrified of Louis,Dempsey was disgusted with Baer's fear and wanted to belt him.

Alberto Davila, former bantam titlist, was doing pretty well training some fighters a few years back.

Jack Blackburn gets my vote! He was a lightweight who fought and beat light heavyweights and several heavyweights and not just the every day grade c variety, he beat some of the best!
