My life is complete - McBride/Ruiz nears agreement

In what surely promises to be the greatest heavyweight world title fight since Mike Evans v Allen Smith, McBride-Ruiz could happen as early as November or December this year.

McBride, and who can blame him, has now struck a deal with Don King, which will include the world title fight with Ruiz. All that is required now is Ruiz' signature. There are apparently "some outstanding issues between Ruiz and King that need to be resolved" but I'm sure Ruiz would not wish to jephordise his place in the heavyweight scene.

Commemorative mugs are fast being snapped up. Not only will these mugs provide fight fans with a momento of this incredible event, they are designed to capture the salvia that will dribble from the mouths of those eagerly anticipating the event.

In other news, it is rumoured that the WBA is testing a new style of ratings system. The organisation has alledgedly placed a cardboard cut out of Mike Tyson on ebay. The highest bidder for the cutout will be awarded the WBA international title, and will be installed as WBA mandatory challenger on the understanding that the bidder is able to knock the cardboard figure out.

Wrong McBride showed up on Irish TV and said that a fight in early December has been agreed

If Toney was the mandatory then Ruiz wouldn't have to fave Valuev until April of 06. And I'd expect Ruiz to put off that beating for as long as possible.

Ruiz should have no problem with McBride. Valuev should have no problem with Donald. So are Ruiz and Valuev going to fight?
It all comes to promotion, money, easier money fights, etc.

As a champ, Ruiz wants to milk the belt of all the money he can, before risking losing it. The Toney fight was a money fight that Ruiz could not avoid. Everyone knew who Toney is and he just koed Holyfield. Old or not, koing Holyfield is not small feat.
Valuev, most people only heard of him but havent seen any of his fights. So there is not much pressure on Ruiz to fight him.

When he does, if he does, Ruiz will lose. He is in no hurry to bring that day forward.
