I will be writing a report for BBN - just thought I would let you know that the main event was surprisingly entertaining. Gammar used his head a bit and was going for the body. He was still lacking that flow (three punch combinations and then he stops and then re starts) - but he boxed in many ways better than Harrison vs Francis.

However, big concern about his power - he couldn't back up Francis at all - unlike Aud. Francis was MUCH stronger of the too and he didn't move.

All in all a good nights of boxing - one absolute stinker of a decision - Paul Samuels vs Hussain Osman. I wasn't drinking and I scored it a CLEAR 40-36 to Osman (the rounds were not particularly close IMO). Ref scored it 39-37 to Samuels. Anybody go to the show? Anybody disagree with the ref here? I spoke to a few blokes at ringside and not one thought Samuels won.

Don't know what your opinion was beforehand, but you think judging by that performance Francis is ok to carry on? Against relatively weak power hitters like Gammer at least?

Its a tough call, I do wish he would spend some time in the gym just so he can look a little respectable in the ring - the guy is obese. Having said that he did relatively okay last night. He bloodied Gammar's nose with his jab but thats all he had to offer. He is in pretty desperate condition, but has still a little to offer fighting at the level.

Even at 40 I kept thinking if Francis had less weight to carry he could win vs Gammar. Gammar wasn't really making a dent on him (which is a worry because he is being hyped as a puncher) and he was always competitive in the every session (except for the 5th which was Gammar's biggest round). I would just like maybe if he turned down a few fights so he could get into shape. If he cannot show the commitment to train, then should he be allowed to fight?

Oppps I meant Jason Samuels not Paul, Jason and Paul are cousins.

absolutely no one looks good against Francis....i still think Gammer can punch but he is small for todays heavies....francis should quit...whats the point carrying on doing absolutely nothing

how much money could he have got for fighting colin kenna recently....if its more than 2k then im going to turn pro.

Just thought I would let you know that there was a TV camera there. Not sure if this was just for Boyce himself or if it will be on HTV. There was only one maybe two stationary camera's - but Boyce might have it on tape.

Just thought I would let you know that both Francis and Gammer have spoken to the local ragand had this to say.

Francis:

Complimentary of Gammer's skills, said he actually had good power, but would like to see him fight in the london circuit before stepping up to British title level.

Gammer:

Delighted with the turnout and atmosphere, very pleased with the performance - would like a one of two more fights before stepping it up to fight for the British title.

Like Scott, delighted with the turnout, delighted with the performance. Thinks Gammer "can go all the way to the top" (not sure if he means domestic or futher). Would ideally want to get a couple more tests before the British title, but thinks he is basically ready to go now. Happy with Scott's attitidue and dedication in training.

Here's the newspaper report in full that Stu mentions above. Seems that Gammer was so pleased with his win that he proposed to his girlfriend - how sweet.
