Going soft on Mr Allegedly.

I`m coming around to Mr Allegedly.
Most here gave him a hard time about serving the boxing public the bollox he did on SKY for so long...me included.
But things change.
Just like his position, or should that be the whole of the buisness when it comes to selling the fights to the networks.
Gone are the days when they could fool us with mutton dressed as lamb..or should that be....oh you know what I mean
No, we had had enough...Audley Harrison swamped us with so much shit, and it smelt so bad it woke the TV companies up to it, and they in turn opened the doors and windows and cleared it out.
Mr Allegedly thought he was safe with Hatton having come good, and with his recent signing of Mr Khan.
But Sky had the pick of the great fights being made over the water...the really great fights
So ITV step in and save him...just
But Hatton says so long
Who has he got to sell:roll:
An old ridiculed Calzaghe
( who I really rate...I am Welsh
)
And an over-hyped tabloid enhanced...soon to be tabloid destroyed youngster. :(
To me Mr Allegedly seems to be getting more in line with our thinking on things, or atleast he is talking about what we`re thinking.
The older more established boxers grumble about `lesser` boxers getting the major billing.
Explaining more of his background problems in regard of getting fights that mean something to the public.
The more I read, the more I really `respect` Mr Allegedly...yes `respect`.
Yes, because put yourself in his place and how would you protect your investments?
The Hatton situation is different from each perspective.
Up untill his last fight Hatton owed his world standing to Mr Allegedly.....Oh come on...on the world scene there are 38 mediocre names on his record in world terms.
But Hatton`s style is short lived, right now I`d favour him against Mayweather...but the style he fights dictates he does not have long at the top...which he now is
So he has to make his mark, make his legacy...something Calzaghe missed out on
For me Mr Allegedly is the best UK promoter amd manager.
He does the best job for those that pay him the most...and the boxer without doubt pays him the most
