I tend to agree, Ali would have been a much harder guy to tag 3 yrs earlier. His footwork I feel would have given Frazier nightmares. Also Ali's speed with the jab and combo's would have been more effective. I think the Ali of 71 was forced to take a lot of punches because he was probably 25% slower in all areas. No way Ali of 66-68 would have been hit as easy. Some say he wouldn't have been as strong. I disagree, he would have been 26 or 27, at his maturity as a heavy and Ali was deceptively strong in the early yrs. It is very noticeable when you see him in clinches and how he used to push guys around. So the ?? about whether or not he'd be strong enough I feel doesn't matter....
