What is the forum consensus on the outcome of this fight? I really like Hare and he is one of the nicest blokes you could wish to meet. At his peak he was a classy operator. My gut feeling is that James is in fairly rapid decline of his skills - which is sad - he was managed very poorly - eg. taking Cosme Rivera as a xmas bonus.

I really would like to see James figure at domestic level and win the lonsdale.

What is his opponent like? his record looks poor but this is been defined as a cross roads fight? Will James do the business?

you know absolutely nothing about the deal put together for Hare .....and it was certainly never taken as a christmas bonus,that is stupid talk.....Hare has been managed very well and isnt fighting Taylor....sadly this forum is really no better than the dogshit pound .....people with no information ,making stupid statements when they have no information on the deals put together.......

Ever ready, ever willing, Ali 'The Silent Assassin' Nuumbembe, offered to step in and fight James Hare on 4 days notice, but was turned down by Hare's team.

Ali who is getting use to stepping in at the last moment, had no hesitation in offering his services to help save the Sky Television show.

He would have even sold plenty of tickets and it would have been a good fight. 8)

Ah well, all the best to James, hope he finds an opponent. He is a good man but business is business.

he did fight 7 times in 14 months though, that does appear a lot.

I recall Tommy Gilmour saying he felt responsible for matching him too hard in an interview.

Tea , whats the problem?, if all of us on here know shit all about boxing, then why bother to look at it?

Tea, Why would I know anything about "the deal" put together for James? How would I know he wasnt fighting Taylor? Im not in the business.

My opinion is that James had too many tough fights in a relatively short space of time and the Rivera fight took its toll on James. [/i]

It's incredible that people who are 'in the business' get all het up and start spouting how none of us know anything because we aren't privvy to what goes on behind closed doors.

How the fornicate are we meant to know? Nobody in boxing ever reveals anything, it's all bloody smoke and mirrors. Even fighters purses are rarely revealed in their entirety, let alone signing bonusses etc, or 4 fight deals or whatever else happened.

Whatever the truth. James Hare went from looking world class to a mediocre domestic fighter in the space of 18 months, I don't know exactly why, but I don't think his schedule of fights helped him. The fight against the Polish lad was the beginning of the decline, and the Rivera loss confirmed that he was vulnerable. I thought he would beat Barnes, but how wrong I was.

I think James Hare is finished, i don't see where he can go. I have nothing personal against the lad but Barnes took him apart for the British title and where else as he left to go?

Terrific fight this one.

The problem Lloyd Taylor had was that he had to work a day job and couldnt train. He was demotivated.

I think he has got some backing now, so he can devote more time to training.

He got bundles of ability.

I think Robert wins comfortably.
